Archives - On Sale This Week

In this newsletter, you will find books releasing the weeks of April 15th and April 22nd that we think will be of interest to Bookreporter.com readers, along with Bonus News, where we call out a contest, feature or review that we want to let you know about so you have it on your radar.

This week, we are calling attention to our Favorite Monthly Lists & Picks feature for April, which includes the Indie Next and LibraryReads lists, the Barnes & Noble Book Club selection, the Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club pick, and many more. With thanks to our reader, Tania, for this idea, we recently posted the Favorite Monthly Lists & Picks going back to 2014.

We also encourage you to enter our Word of Mouth and Sounding Off on Audio contests for an opportunity to win some fabulous hardcovers and audiobooks. And please be sure to vote in our latest poll about April paperbacks you already have read or are planning to read.

Finally, we are spotlighting BLUFF, which is now in stores and marks Jane Stanton Hitchcock's return to the world of crime fiction following a nine-year hiatus.

This week, we are calling attention to our interview with Martha Hall Kelly, whose latest novel, LOST ROSES, is our current Women's Fiction Author Spotlight title. It was just announced that this much-anticipated prequel to LILAC GIRLS is this month's Barnes & Noble Book Club selection, and it also will be a Bookreporter.com Bets On pick. You can read our review of the book in the April 12th Bookreporter.com Weekly Update newsletter and Carol Fitzgerald's Bets On commentary in the April 19th edition.

Also, we are spotlighting our review of Lisa Scottoline's newly released domestic thriller, SOMEONE KNOWS, a deeply emotional examination of family, marriage and the true nature of justice.

And be sure to enter our "What's Your Book Group Reading This Month?" contest on ReadingGroupGuides.com. Each month, we ask book groups to share the titles they are reading that month and rate them. From all entries, three winners will be selected, and each will win 12 copies of that month’s prize book for their group. Our current prize book is ALL WE EVER WANTED by Emily Giffin, which releases in paperback on April 23rd. In this riveting novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling author, three very different people must choose between their families and their most deeply held values. Enter here by Wednesday, May 8th at noon ET.
