The Timeless Swing

Review

The Timeless Swing

While his career needed no boost, Watson's near victory in the 2009 Open served as incentive for a wonderful instructional book.THE TIMELESS SWING by Tom Watson and Nick Seitz is an excellent reference for those who find instructional books to be valuable in the never-ending search for a quality golf swing. Watson, who just won another senior major championship at age 61, is known for a simple and repeating golf swing. Even after hip replacement surgery, photographs of his swing are nearly identical to that of the 1970s and '80s when he was a dominant player on the professional tour.

The book is divided into typical chapters on grip, swing, drills and strategy, and loaded with beautiful photographs by Dom Furore. Instructional books each bring something to help average golfers improve their swing. THE TIMELESS SWING is an easy-to-read compendium of Watson's views on the swing and its basic elements. Considering his accomplishments in the game of golf, this is a book to consider if you are looking for some help with your swing.
