About the Book

A Spoonful of Poison: An Agatha Raisin Mystery

When Agatha Raisin goes to the remote hamlet of Comfrey Magna to
politely turn down a public relations job, she encounters the
stunning green eyes of handsome widower George Selby, and promptly
agrees to do whatever PR work the village needs. But as events in
Agatha’s new adventure A SPOONFUL OF POISON unfold, the rural
festival Agatha is promoting soon takes a deadly turn, and Agatha
must investigate the toxic spiking of some local preserves.

Agatha’s detective agency dives into the investigation as
well, especially the attractive young Toni Gilmour, whose troubles
with men tend to be too much attention, and not (as with Agatha)
too little. By the time a fifth resident of Comfrey Magna turns up
dead, the case proves to be something far greater than a sabotaged
jam-making contest. With her hands full shepherding Toni through
her romantic problems, chasing away her steady stream of pesky
London guests, and weeding out a crooked detective in her own
agency, it’s all Agatha can do to solve a connected group of
crimes and set aside a quiet moment to stare into George
Selby’s mesmerizing eyes.
