Stephanie
SAME KIND OF DIFFERENT AS ME by Ron Hall. I picked it up at a book store.

Debbie M.
I'm reading two books. One is FOR THE SAKE OF ELENA by Elizabeth George, and I'm reading it because my best friend had recommended the series long ago. The other book I'm reading is TRUE SELVES by Mildred L. Brown, and I'm reading it because one of our customers (I work in an independent bookstore) bought it and it looked interesting.

Marta M.
I am reading SON OF NEPTUNE by Rick Riordan. I have been reading the Percy Jackson series for many years now. I read the first one every year to my fifth grade class. They love it and so do I.

Connie S.
THE LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS by Vanessa Diffenbaugh. It was selected by one of our book club members as this month's book.

Celeste
MARRYING DAISY BELLAMY by Susan Wiggs. It's part of "The Lakeshore Chronicles" series. ?It's the latest book in my favorite series. I originally found out about it from the Susan Wiggs newsletter.

I am reading KILL ME IF YOU CAN by James Patterson and Marshall Karp. I found it on the "Coming Soon" list on your website and immediately put it on hold at the public library.

Adam
I'm reading A GAME OF THRONES by George R. R. Martin. Before I had heard that it was a popular TV show, I read a book review from Powell's Books. Sounded good so I picked it up and loved it. Now I gotta plow through all the rest of the books!

Phyllis
THE DOG WHO KNEW TOO MUCH by Spencer Quinn. I've enjoyed the other Chet and Bernie books and watched the author's site for the announcement that a new one would be published.

Two books: TURTLE MOON by Alice Hoffman and THE WEIRD SISTERS by Eleanor Brown. TURTLE MOON is my book club's selection, and I received THE WEIRD SISTERS as a pre-published book review.

Suzanne S.
HOW TO LOVE AN AMERICAN MAN a true story by Kristine Gasbarre. My son went to John Carrrol University with her and told me about this memoir that she wrote. I'm really enjoying her story and her style of writing. Her experiences mirror events that many of us have been through, so it's very relatable.

Levy S.
I am reading Orhan Pamuk's THE MUSEUM OF INNOCENCE. I read all Pamuk's work.

Kathy K.
I'm starting two books: John Le Carre's THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, (Spy Fiction) and Robert Baer's SEE NO EVIL, (Non Fiction). Both authors are somewhat new to me. I have known Le Carre's name for very long time, but have never read his books; mostly in the past I've read Robert Ludlum when I wanted spy fiction. Not sure how/where I learned of Le Carre originally, but lately I'm finding myself wanting reads with more "meat" to them rather than just my usual cozy mysteries. I had just recently finished reading Baer's THE COMPANY WE KEEP (non-fiction, husband/wife true spy story) which made me decide that this might be a good time to explore LeCarre and other authors (Tom Clancy, et al) who write spy/espionage fiction/thrillers. I'm not sure where I originally learned of Robert Baer's THE COMPANY WE KEEP --- was probably BookReporter.com, but could have also been a blurb from my local library, BookPage, something on Twitter, or someplace else. I looked in my LibraryThing notes, but didn't have anything there about where I heard about the book; usually I make a note someplace stating where I heard about the title.

John S.
NORTHWEST ANGLE by William Kent Krueger. Heard about it on your site this week. I have read all of his other novels and did not know this one was published.

Harriet I.
I am reading THE LACUNA, by Barbara Kingsolver. This is the first novel I have read by Ms. Kingsolver since THE POISONWOOD BIBLE. I heard about it while attending my book club's selection meeting this summer; it is one of our selections. It is wonderful to be reading a B. Kingsolver book again.

Heather F.
FATHERMOTHERGOD by Lucia Greenhouse. I heard about it in an online review.

Audrey
SIZZLING SIXTEEN by Janet Evanovich. It is newest one in the Stephanie Plum Series. Don't remember why I started the first one.

I am reading A GATE AT THE STAIRS by Lorrie Moore I read a review of it in a local paper probalbly a year or so ago. There is a story that keeps me turning the pages.

Lisa
FEAR AND MISS BETONY by Dorothy Bowers --- heard about it from one of the many e-newsletters I receive from indie bookstores.

Connie F.
I'm reading CONFETTI CONFIDENTIAL by Holly McQueen. It's a fun, chick-lit romp about a wedding planner "wanna-be" in the U.K. It's an adorable book chock-full of complex, yet hilarious, characters. I believe I heard about the book from a chick-lit club online. I search lots of publishers', authors', bookstores', libraries', etc. websites for books. I'm always looking for new books and that's why I love Bookreporter! I have also received ARCs and written reviews for publishers so remember me there!!! :-)

Kathryn
IMPERFECT STRANGERS by Stuart Woods. I got it at a charity used book sale a few weeks ago for $1, along with another of his, SANTA FE RULES, for 50 cents. TORTOISE SOUP by Jessica Speart. I read a reader's review in Word of Mouth on Bookreporter.com. I also use The Bookreporter newsletter but even those featured books I check out on Goodreads.

Carol C.

Bob W.
BLINK OF AN EYE by William S. Cohen. I heard about from the Amazon Vine program.

Kathy
THE WOMAN IN WHITE by Wilkie Collins. A friend had purchased 3 classics from the Barnes and Noble collection. I checked out the list of classics. I had always wanted to read this one. I found it available for download to my SONY e-reader for 99 cents! I am enjoying it very much. I am intrigued by the fact that it was published 100 years before I was born, but still seems very contemporary.

Debbie M.
THE FIFTH WOMAN by Henning Mankell. I picked this book up in an airport. Although I had not heard about this particular book from anyone, I am a fan of Henning Mankell. If you like thrillers, his books are wonderful. I also heard an interview with him on the BBC World Bookclub, which, by the way, you can use to download podcasts of interviews with authors from all around the world.

Patricia M.
I am currently reading THE SHOOTIST by Glendon Swarthout. I loved the movie and have been intending to read the book. It was out of print until recently, when I found it on Amazon. I am in a Western mode right now having just read TRUE GRIT and THE COLOR OF LIGHTNING.

I'm reading ESCAPE by Barbara Delinsky right now. I won the book in a contest, but if I hadn't won the book I would have bought it because I like Delinsky's books. ESCAPE is not what I expected. It is a very slow read; it seems like nothing ever happens. I'm 3/4 done and every time I pick it up I want to quit reading. Very disappointed but I will finish it and hope I get a surprise at the end.

Laura G.
HOW TO BE AN AMERICAN HOUSEWIFE by Margaret Dilloway. I found it in the audiobook section of my library.

I heard about THE BUDDHA IN THE ATTIC by Julie Otsuka from several sources: online e-mails and book magazines that I subscribe to. I'm fascinated with people who migrate to the United States, and their experiences as they try to assimilate into our culture. Most have to struggle and are not accepted by those who were in the same circumstances a generation or two before.

Lois C.

FINN by John Clinch. This is a book about Huckleberry Finn's father. My book club will be reading HUCKLEBERRY FINN in May, so reading background books will be good way for me to contribute to the discussion. Huck's father, as depicted by Twain, was a rough man and treated Huck very harshly, but Huck wanted to be with him. Getting to know Finn better may help me understand their relationship.

Harriet T.
PARROT AND OLIVIER IN AMERICA by Peter Carey. This book was chosen by one of my book groups.

Lynn D.
DEAD AND DOGGONE by Susan Conant. I found out about this book through Amazon.com. I tried to read some books in this series maybe 10 years ago and just didn't care for them, but now I am giving the whole series another try!

Jan W.
NEW YORK TO DALLAS by J. D. Robb. I heard about the book on this very website and just finished it. It was very good; I especially enjoyed the relationship between Eve and Roarke. I just love the way he looks after her and the commitment they share. For instance, in the Epilogue when she speaks of the love he has for her I always read it and know my husband has that type of love for me and how we are so closely linked without even saying it. It just is! We have always said that he is spoiled and I am pampered. These Robb books illustrate this to me.

Sean P.
