The Mountain Mamas Book Club read and discussed THE RIVER OF DOUBT by Candice Millard. We all thought so much of this book and had a great discussion. Now fascinated by the Amazon jungle, I read about and purchased THE LOST CITY OF Z by David Grann. In many ways different and similar, it was great getting a different perspective not only of how the trips were financed, but also the differing aspects of the trips. Now I want to read FORDLANDIA, about Henry Ford's attempt to build a city in the Amazon.
