I love the children's books, especially THE POLAR EXPRESS and HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS. I have been giving them as gifts long before the popularity of the movies. SANTA'S FAVORITE STORY is also one of my favorites.

As for adult books, I usually reread SKIPPING CHRISTMAS and I enjoy the Christmas collections by various authors. You get an idea of the author's style, and you can read one short story at a time without having to "keep up" with the story during the busy holiday season. Some examples are: Truman Capote's "A Christmas Memory" and "The Worst Noel." I also read Elizabeth Berg's newest, THE HANDMAID AND THE CARPENTER, which really puts the Christmas story in perspective.
