Biography

Felix Martin

Felix Martin is a macroeconomist and bond investor.  He was educated in the UK, Italy, and the US, where he was a Fulbright scholar; and has degrees in classics, international relations, and economics. Felix’s first book – MONEY: the Unauthorised Biography – was published in the UK by The Bodley Head in June, 2013.  It will be published in the US by Alfred A. Knopf and in Canada by Doubleday in March, 2014.  The book argues that the conventional understanding of money is wrong; explains why this is a big problem because it presents a major obstacle to formulating the policies that can extricate us from the global debt crisis; and offers an alternative explanation of what money really is – with radical implications for economics, finance, and the future of capitalism.
