Whew, with the coronavirus, things feel pretty unsettled these days. I have been escaping by reading books --- and I hope that many of you are doing the same. This is a good time to share that, in addition to this newsletter, we have two others that you may be interested in --- the Bookreporter Weekly newsletter (which comes out on Fridays) and the Bookreporter On Sale This Week newsletter (which comes out on Tuesdays). If you want more about books and authors that we think you will love, you can sign up for those newsletters here.

In this newsletter, you will find books releasing the weeks of March 9th and March 16th that we think will be of interest to Bookreporter.com readers, along with Bonus News, where we call out a contest, feature or review that we want to let you know about so you have it on your radar.

This week, we are calling attention to our Spring Preview Contests and Feature, a series of 24-hour giveaways that are taking place on select days this month and next. Enter for your chance to win books that we know people will be talking about this spring --- and beyond.

We also are spotlighting Carol Fitzgerald's "Bookreporter Talks To" interview with  Amanda Eyre Ward, whose new novel, THE JETSETTERS, is this month's Reese Witherspoon x Hello Sunshine Book Club pick and an upcoming Bets On title. Carol had a great time talking to Amanda about siblings, success and the baggage that families carry with them. Click here to watch the interview and here to listen to the podcast.

Sherry Parnell, author of Let the Willows Weep

In the tradition of the best Southern fiction --- from BASTARD OUT OF CAROLINA to WHERE THE CRAWDADS SING --- Sherry Parnell’s LET THE WILLOWS WEEP is a heart-wrenching portrait of hardscrabble, humble lives in rural America. A keenly observed and unflinching look at the life of Birddog Harlin as she grows up in her dysfunctional family, this novel explores the line between destruction and redemption.
