The Concrete Blonde

Review

The Concrete Blonde

Connelly is a master storyteller. He knows just how to build the suspense and the surprises do come! This is the third in his Detective Harry Bosch series, taking us into the investigation of a serial killer, the courtroom, and the private lives of Harry and others close to him. I suggest reading the books in order, though they can also stand alone. THE BLACK ECHO and THE BLACK ICE are excellent books as well, but this one exceeds those! Harry is a very human detective, with scars from life and a difficult time trusting people. Here a civil suit brings his integrity into question due to a fatal shooting. Events cause him to have questions of his own as well. What a wonderful character... I hope to read much more about Bosch in the coming years!
