Melissa J.
STILL MISSING by Chevy Stevens --- LOVED IT!

Debi
I don't read books because they are on bestseller lists, but it seems that most of the books I choose end up on them. I read Bookreporter.com for the reviews and to see when my favorite authors have a book coming out.

K.R.
THE PASSAGE by Justin Cronin

Robert R.
Can't tell you by name --- my reading closely follows your reviews. I make a list that sounds interesting, and then I pick what I can read. I also have a list of 30 or so authors I've discovered that I like. I then read all of their works to stay current.

I'm not sure if I've ever read a book purely because it was on a bestseller list. However, that being said, I've seen books on the bestseller list that I thought looked interesting and have read them for that reason...does this make sense??

Sheila M.
THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett --- it had been on the bestseller list for so long, I figured I'd better see what all the hype was about. I enjoyed it.

Chris W.
THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO --- I had a review copy for over a year before I finally picked it up to see what all the hubbub was about. I loved it and bought the second book in the series the next morning...and then I bought the third book from Amazon UK, because I didn't want to wait for the US release.

Beth C.
LARK & TERMITE by Jayne Anne Phillips

THE HELP --- and I was so glad I did. I have an eclectic taste in books and subject matter and do not, as a rule, give weight to lists...but I look at them all the same. By the way, Oprah's list is the only list that can get me to read a selection, hands down!

Anne
THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN by Garth Stein

Janet
THE LAST CHILD by John Hart

Pam
THE HELP

Amy G.
THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett

Lois G.
THE PASSAGE, and I never did finish it. It was too intense and not what one would call a joyful read. Perhaps I will attempt to complete it in the future, when I'm in the mood for a good, hard read.

Linda

None --- I know from experience that being on a bestseller list has nothing to do with the quality of the writing or the creativity of the story.

THE HELP by Kathryn Stockett --- it was the best book I read this year.

I just finished LOOK AGAIN by Lisa Scottoline. The only reason I bought it was because I had seen it a while back on a bestseller list, and that inspired me to check it out further. I'm very glad I did, as it turned out to be an exciting, if predictable, read.

Michael R.
I have NEVER read a book just because it was on the bestseller list. There has to be a more convincing reason.

I don't read books just becaause they are on a bestseller list --- but sometimes it's a heavenly discovery when a favorite author releases a new book that I wasn't expecting...and of course I buy and read it immediately!

I've never read a book just because I saw it on a bestseller list.

I do not read books purely because they are on the bestseller list. I may read a specific author who is on the list, but only because I read that author faithfully.
