What, to you, is the most romantic book you have ever given, or would you want to give?

The most romantic book I have ever given was a small book of love poems with personal comments written in, relating to the poem and my feelings towards the recipient (my husband).

Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell is the most romantic book I have ever given to someone.

The most romantic book to give a woman would probably be Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, although I really think that turning someone on to Kahlil Gibran with The Prophet would be the best!

I think that the most romantic book I ever gave as a gift for Valentine's Day was several years ago; I gave my wife a signed first edition of The Bridges of Madison County by Robert James Waller. That same weekend, we took a tour of some covered bridges located in Ashtabula, Ohio, about an hour from our home. Lots of fun and quite romantic.

The most romantic book I have ever received is a hardback edition of Gone With the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. This has always been one of my favorite books and to have my husband actually remember and give it to me was completely romantic.

There is no doubt in my mind: the most romantic book that I could ever give or be given is the one and only Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen's fabulous tale of love surmounting incredible obstacles! At least once a year, I pick it up and reread the part where Elizabeth Bennett tells Mr. D'Arcy in no uncertain terms that she would not marry him if he were the last man on earth! Of course, I then proceed to the so-delicious parts where they are reconciled and live happily ever after!!! If you have never read this book, you have missed out on a treat! Happy Valentine's Day!

At present, I'm giving the entire Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. For a full written life of sensual love, and for something sexually harder and contemporary, with a definite wait to the last page for the final outcome --- Neale Sourna's Hobble.

I don't read many romance books, but my pick would have to be one of my favorite books, Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell.

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte is a book I still would give for a great romance.

What is the most romantic book to give or receive? Two novels come immediately to mind. One is A Voice in the Wind by Francine Rivers, and the other is An Angel's Touch by Heather Graham Pozzessere. The hero and heroine in both these novels are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for both love and faith.

My husband gave me The Boy Next Door by Meggin Cabot. It was a sweet gift, a great read, and altogether very romantic.

Never Call It Loving by Dorothy Eden. I have never given this book to anyone but I read it over 20 years ago and have never forgotten it. I have these words written on a piece of paper on my bulletin board:

Unless you can muse in a crowd all day
On the absent face that fixed you...
Unless you can die when the dream is past,
Oh, never call it loving.

This is the most romantic phrase I have ever heard. And I still have the paperback on my bedstand, worn and tattered, read many times.

The most romantic book I would want to give is Love Poems by Nikki Giovanni.

The most romantic book I have ever wanted to give is Time in a Bottle by Nicholas Sparks. The setting and place were romantic.

The most romantic book I could select to give is Griffin & Sabine: An Extraordinary Correspondence by Nick Bantock. A grown-up "pop-up" book, it is full of incredible illustrations and fun "letters," in envelopes, to open, read and hold, just as one would a real letter. The mystery/love story that unfolds along with the letters is both fascinating and intriguing. A beautiful story wrapped up in a beautiful book --- what more could a fanatical reader ask for?

The most romantic book I've ever read was The Marriage Prize by Virginia Henley. It had it all: romance, comedy, the chase, the catch, and the sensual lovemaking. It was a book that, once started, you couldn't put down! And I just loved the knight and the princess, medieval era.
