Doug Swanson

Doug J. Swanson, an investigative reporter for The Dallas Morning News, is the author of Blood Aces: The Wild Ride of Benny Binion, the Texas Cowboy Who Created Vegas Poker. Swanson also has written five novels. He is an investigative reporter at The Dallas Morning News. Swanson has twice been named the top reporter in Texas. He has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in feature writing, and was a John S. Knight Fellow in Journalism at Stanford University. Swanson has taught advanced reporting at the University of North Texas, and has been a frequent speaker and workshop leader at the Mayborn conference.
