Strong Justice: A Caitlin Strong Novel

As a young girl, Caitlin Strong heard stories about the heroic exploits of the legendary Texas Rangers at the knee of her grandpa, revered Texas Ranger Earl Strong. True to her family’s Ranger heritage, grown-up Caitlin wears her badge proudly and unselfishly executes her duties with bravery and honor. While acting with steely determination in the most dangerous situations, Caitlin also shows a soft side. She has a special place in her heart for widower and ex-con Cort Wesley Masters and his sons, Dylan and Luke.

While Cort Wesley is briefly away in New Orleans collecting an old debt, 15-year-old Dylan and a teenage girl named Maria, whom he has rescued, are found in the wrong place at the wrong time. The pair is rounded up by police during a sweep of a drug-infested section of San Antonio. Caitlin, who had temporarily backed off from the Masters’ lives, receives a call from Dylan, steps in and bails him out.

Caitlin discovers that the girl picked up with Dylan has information about a serial killer who has been defiling the border with hundreds of bodies of Las Mujeres de Juarez, the women of Juarez --- innocent women and adolescent girls who have become murder victims. The demonic killer is determined to capture, torture and kill Maria, the one who got away.

With the children’s safety and lives in jeopardy, a Social Services representative threatens to revoke Cort Wesley’s parental rights. As the danger increases, Guillermo Paz, an avenging guardian angel seeking redemption for his past sins, rushes in to protect Caitlin while taking action to mete out justice to evildoers who prey on the weak. Equally dangerous, a Texas oil baron and multi-millionaire with a link to Caitlin’s past relentlessly drills for a precious commodity. The rugged Texas landscape yields a valuable commodity with dangerous side effects. Caitlin and Cort Wesley join forces to protect the children and safeguard America from a deadly attack.

Acclaimed writer Jon Land has crafted another timely and provocative thriller with an intricate plot and realistic characters worth rooting for. In this follow-up to 2009’s STRONG ENOUGH TO DIE, the past and the present intersect, crossing generations and borders.

STRONG JUSTICE has a winning recipe for a savory read: valiant Texas Rangers, an ancient Mayan End Times prediction, a deadly plot that threatens the American way of life, a spicy dash of romance and an unlikely avenging angel. Along with the fast-paced action and fascinating plot, Land deftly weaves in a message of redemption, justice, family heritage and the lasting influence of fathers --- both active and absentee --- on the lives of their children.
