Julie Drew

Julie teaches writing at The University of Akron in Northeast Ohio. Her debut novel, DAUGHTER OF PROVIDENCE, will be published by Overlook Press in August 2011. Her recent academic books include Sound-bite Saboteurs: Public Discourse, Education, and the State of Democratic Deliberation (State University of New York Press 2010), and Punishing Schools: Fear and Citizenship in American Public Education (University of Michigan Press 2006).
