Archives - 20 Something Reads

Hooray, summer is nearly here! While I’m already feeling the heat in the Northeast (A/C save me!), it officially begins this Thursday, June 21st at 6:07am ET, giving us the longest day of the year. You know what this means: frosé, frosé, frosé, beach days, BBQs, and so on and so forth. While you can spend hours upon hours outside frolicking in the summer sun and reading in the park, sometimes it’s too hot to function or a nasty rainstorm rolls in unexpectedly. When that happens, you’ll head indoors, turn on the TV and look for something to watch. Oh, you need a new show? Don’t worry, I got you. Please, read on.

BookExpo, the annual industry trade show, was held last week at the Javits Convention Center in New York City. The show brought together publishing professionals, booksellers, librarians and bloggers, who came from across the world to learn about the upcoming books for fall, attend panels on publishing-related topics, and meet debut, mid-list and bestselling authors. It is closed to the public, unlike BookCon, which was held on Saturday and Sunday.
