No.

Barbara Delinsky, Heather Graham, Julie Garwood, Rona Jaffe, Debbie Macomber, Maeve Binchy, Carol Higgins Clark, Emilie Richards, Catherine Coulter, Barbara Taylor Bradford, and Luanne Rice.

What did you think of PRAYERS FOR SALE?
I enjoyed the friendship between Hennie and Nit, and reading about how it grew over a few months. They had so much in common even though their was a big age difference. We are so busy today that we don't take the time to develop relationships like that, so it was really refreshing to be reminded of how important "girlfriends" are.

Would you ever read a future book by Sandra Dallas?
Yes.

Bev from Batavia, OH

This is the first book I've read by Sandra Dallas, but it surely will not be my last. I am so glad I had the opportunity to be introduced to this writer.

What other women's fiction authors do you usually read?
Jodie Picoult, Sandra Brown, Maeve Binchy, Chelsea Cain, Lisa Jackson and Dorthea Benton Frank, to name just a few.

What did you think of PRAYERS FOR SALE?
I absolutely loved this book! All the characters were so colorful, strong and so close at heart. Hennie was special! She could be a "spittin’ image" of my own grandmother, who grew up in Tennessee and married my grandfather at the age of 14 before moving to Ohio. She also was quite a quilter and a great storyteller! This book took me back to my childhood when I sat, mesmerized, listening to my grandma's many tales of her youth. I just can't say enough about this book...there's nothing "not to like." It really hit home. A wonderful read!

Would you ever read a future book by Sandra Dallas?
Absolutely!

I really enjoyed the short stories told by the character of Hennie, but I didn't think that the present-day narrative was a strong enough glue to bring everything together.

It was incredible. I was spellbound by this book. It was really like wrapping a quilt around you, drinking a good cup of coffee and settling in with a good friend. I loved it! I also loved how the story wrapped around itself. The ending was perfect!

Sue from Tenafly, NJ

Have you previously read a book by Sandra Dallas?
Yes, I've read TALLGRASS, which I loved. I've also read THE PERSIAN PICKLE CLUB and THE DIARY OF MATTIE SPENSER.

What other women’s fiction authors do you usually read?
I read Jodi Picoult, Barbara Delinsky, Elizabeth Berg, Jennifer Chiaverini, and many more.

What did you think of PRAYERS FOR SALE?
I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the time period of 1840s through 1940s US History, so this book fell nicely in there for me. I love the whole Westward Expansion thing and Civil War fiction, and so this was a combination of both. I also love that the story of the book was told through Hennie's stories to Nit.

I'm still on the fence about how tidy some situations were explained, but I guess that's what really made the story.

Would you ever read a future book by Sandra Dallas?
I most definitely would.

Susan from Gainesville, FL

Have you previously read a book by Sandra Dallas?
Years ago when talking to a family member of a patient, I was discussing books. This woman suggested I read THE PERSIAN PICKLE CLUB, and I was hooked. She writes about the things that most interest me: women's issues without the hoopla.

What other women’s fiction authors do you usually read?
Faye Kellerman, Joanne Dobson, Nancy Atherton, Patricia Sprinkle, Maggie Sefton, Debbie Macomber, Lillian Jackson Braun and Anne McCaffrey.

What did you think of PRAYERS FOR SALE?
One of the best, and I really wanted it to continue. I really wanted to go on the trip with her. I really climbed into the character and wanted to become Hennie. She fit me like a glove.

Would you ever read a future book by Sandra Dallas?
Are you kidding? If one came out tomorrow, it would not be too soon.
