THE LAST PONY
by Thomas Manley, 5 stars! No, 10 stars.
It is intense! I found it at Amazon.com but it's also
featured at 2nb.com. It's the best young adult book ever
published!

HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE
by J.K. Rowling, 5 stars
I am enjoying Harry Potter.
ANATOMY OF THE SPIRIT by Caroline Myss,
5 stars
It's all about energy and intuitive healings. Truly good
book but slow reading. I pick it up and read a few chapters
then switch to another book.
KITCHEN TABLE WISDOM: More Stories That Heal
by Rachel Naomi Remen, M.D., 5 stars
A gifted writer and physician. This is a 5 star and which
I also pick up and read by chapters.

THE MARK OF AN ANGEL by Nancy Huston,
5 stars
Such a powerful story! Such a piece of writing!
LOCAL GIRLS by Alice Hoffman, 5 stars
Not one word rings false! The story of all our lives.
DEADLY DECISIONS by Kathy Reichs, 4
stars
Love the subject matter but awfully pedantic in spots.
NEW ORLEANS REQUIEM by D. J. Donaldson,
2 stars
First novel I've read of this author. Maybe others are
better.
AFTERSHOCKS by Richard Wheeler, 4 stars
Such a superb story of the lives of fictitious people
in the S.F. earthquake of 1906.

APOCALYPSE SOUTH by Kyle Watson, 5 stars
This is a wonderful suspense thriller. You can't put it
down. It's fast paced and keeps you turning the pages
to find out what happens next.

TARA ROAD by Maeve Binchy, 5 stars
Wonderful book! Went out and purchased one of her other
ones. Sorry to hear she is retiring from novel writing.
WINTER SOLSTICE by Rosamunde Pilcher,
5 stars
I think this is her best since Shell Seekers. Love the
format in which it is written. The reader knows things
before the characters do.
A POSTCARD MEMOIR by Lawrence Sutin,
4 stars
A very different book. Short, individual essays based
on the author's collection of antique postcards which
appear along with the essay.

EVER AFTER: Diana and The Life She Led
by Anne Edwards, 5 stars
A truly remarkable biography that reveals Diana, Princess
of Wales, in a very balanced perspective. It's not full
of the usual speculations one tends to find in books written
about her. Edwards' research and footnotes truly indicate
she did her homework. It's definitely one of the best
biographies I've read written on this remarkable and complex
woman.
