- Lisa received a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 1976. She completed her degree in three years and graduated magna cum laude.
- Lisa graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1981, where she served as an Associate Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
- LOOK AGAIN is Lisa’s sixteenth novel. Her first novel, EVERYWHERE THAT MARY WENT, was published in 1994.
- Lisa currently has twenty five million copies of her books in print in the United States and she is published in 25 countries.
- Lisa's books have landed on all the major bestseller lists, including The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Publisher's Weekly, Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times.
- Lisa was the recipient of the Edgar Award, the Mystery Writers of America’s most prestigious honor; the Fun, Fearless, Fiction Award by Cosmopolitan Magazine; and was named a PW Innovator by Publisher's Weekly. In addition, she has been honored with a Distinguished Author Award from Scranton University and a "Paving the Way" award from the University of Pennsylvania, Women in Business.

- Lisa lives in the Philadelphia area, and is an animal lover. Her farm in Pennsylvania includes dogs, cats, chickens and horses.
