Lisa received a B.A. in English from the University of Pennsylvania in 1976. She completed her degree in three years and graduated magna cum laude.
Lisa graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1981, where she served as an Associate Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
LOOK AGAIN is Lisa’s sixteenth novel. Her first novel, EVERYWHERE THAT MARY WENT, was published in 1994.
Lisa currently has twenty five million copies of her books in print in the United States and she is published in 25 countries.
Lisa's books have landed on all the major bestseller lists, including The New York Times, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Publisher's Weekly, Washington Post and The Los Angeles Times.
Lisa was the recipient of the Edgar Award, the Mystery Writers of America’s most prestigious honor; the Fun, Fearless, Fiction Award by Cosmopolitan Magazine; and was named a PW Innovator by Publisher's Weekly. In addition, she has been honored with a Distinguished Author Award from Scranton University and a "Paving the Way" award from the University of Pennsylvania, Women in Business.
In addition to penning novels, Lisa also writes a column for the Philadelphia Inquirer titled "Chick Wit," which is her witty and fun take on life from a woman's perspective.
In her spare time, Lisa teaches a course she developed, "Justice and Fiction" at The University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Lisa considers raising her daughter as her greatest achievement. Her daughter is a Harvard graduate and a frequent contributor to her “Chick Wit” column.
Lisa lives in the Philadelphia area, and is an animal lover. Her farm in Pennsylvania includes dogs, cats, chickens and horses.
