Have you previously read a book by Kyle Mills?
Yes, BURN FACTOR.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
Lee Child and James Thayer (I try to spread my reading around).
What did you think of LORDS OF CORRUPTION?
I enjoyed the dual plot. Josh had to contend with the evil Trent-Fedorov and Mtiti directly, while also dealing with Fawn and her evil boyfriend on behalf of his sister. So, that added good complications. Mills is obviously a master at describing physical action and his dialogue is amazing for being realistic (for fiction) and still delivering a great deal of information to drive the plot forward. This is a real page-turner that keeps the reader guessing right up to the last page.
Would you ever read a future book by Kyle Mills?
Yes.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read LORDS OF CORRUPTION. I have never heard of Kyle Mills before.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
David Baldacci, Ken Follett, John Lescroart, Lisa Scottoline and Joseph Finder.
What did you think of LORDS OF CORRUPTION?
The author writes well and manages to keep up the suspense. He makes you stop and think about checking out charities before giving.
Toward the end, I couldn't put the book down because I was so interested in finding out what was going to happen next.
Would you ever read a future book by Kyle Mills?
I may look for some of his already-published novels. It is so hard to judge an author by one book.

What did you think of LORDS OF CORRUPTION?
I really liked it! It took me a few chapters to really get into the story, but after that I was hooked. I thought the characters were interesting and I liked that the hero wasn't a perfect knight in shining armor, but had a past. The plot kept my attention all the way until the end. The choice of setting and issues was different from any book I've ever read so it wasn't just the same old mystery with different characters, but a completely new idea.
Would you ever read a future book by Kyle Mills?
Yes, I plan to check out a few of his earlier books from the library next week.
Linda from Nashville, TN

What did you think of LORDS OF CORRUPTION?
A great book. I couldn't put it down and read it in one day. It was interesting to see how Josh's character develops from having a "loser" attitude to becoming a man of great strength and character. The story provided some good twists, although I was sorry to see one of the characters die. This brings out a lot of questions about relief organizations in foreign countries.
Would you ever read a future book by Kyle Mills?
Most definitely yes! I can't wait for the next one.
Steve from Sacramento, CA

No, this is my first.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
A lot! I read two to three a week. I love Brad Meltzer, Greg Iles, David Baldacci, Harlan Coben, Jeffery Deaver, John Grisham, Joseph Finder, and many more.
What did you think of LORDS OF CORRUPTION?
I loved it! I usually judge a book by the emotions it stirs up in me. This one gets you feeling what the person in the book is feeling. I really wanted to go and beat up Fawn's boyfriend and kick Fawn out of the house! You want to protect Josh's sister, Laura. I loved the twists and turns and was rooting for the good guys the whole time! (I just wish it were longer, as I do with most good books!)
Would you read another book by Mills?
Very much yes!
Melissa from Santee, CA

No.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
Victoria Laurie, Joanne Fluke, Charlaine Harris, P. C. Cast, Eileen Davidson, Barbara Bretton, Yasmine Galenorn, Elaine Viets, Denise Swanson.
What did you think of LORDS OF CORRUPTION?
It was a good book, but just a little more depressing than what I usually read. It exposed a lot about the charities and how they really operate, which is sad since it would be nice if they actually helped people instead of using the money to line their own pockets. It did not quite keep me on the edge of my seat, though, to get to the next page. You could guess what was going to happen to most of the characters. The book left me hanging at the end because I wanted to know what happened to Josh and his family after everything was revealed about NewAfrica.
I like the political aspect of the book, but it was depressing for me. I know these kinds of things happen, but I do not want to read about it all the time. The book was pretty predictable. The plot was what I expected it to be.
