I have read every book Lisa Jackson has written.
What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I read Sandra Brown, Nora Roberts and Tami Hoag --- just to name a few.
What did you think of LOST SOULS?
I was completely caught off guard by the ending. My only problem was that I just wanted to take Kristi Bentz and shake her when she would make such poor judgment calls and put herself at risk. It's sort of like going to a scary movie and the whole audience just knows the main character shouldn't: open the door, go up those stairs, get in that car --- it won't be good, and everyone is talking out loud to the screen. I found myself speaking aloud, "Girl, why don't you call somebody to go with you?" or "Why don't you just tell somebody where you're going?"
I also enjoy the way Ms. Jackson's books whet your appetite with just a taste of what her next one may hold.

Yes.
What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I read Nora Roberts and Jayne Ann Krentz.
What did you think of LOST SOULS?
The supernatural or cults in stories usually creep me out, but the injection of vampirism in this one did not. The author wove it into her story quite effectively. It gave the plot an unconventional tone.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
Yes.
Janet from Tonawanda, NY
Have you previously read a book by Lisa Jackson?
No, I have not.
What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I like Janet Evanovich and Nora Roberts.
What did you think of LOST SOULS?
I had a hard time getting into it. I love a good mystery but the whole vampire aspect was a turn off. At times, I felt like I was back watching “Buffy The Vampire Slayer.” Vlad and his mistress reminded me of Spike and Drusilla and that is who I kept picturing in their scenes together in the bathtub. I was actually quite grossed out at points. I also thought there were too many characters to keep track of. I kept mixing up the professors and the girls like Ariel, and O.
But, the mystery itself was good and kept you guessing to the end. Lisa's style of writing is great. She has a wonderful way of describing people and places that keeps you interested and you can visualize who or what she is talking about. I also enjoyed having the narrator change at times; it reminded me of Jodi Picoult's books. I like a story that gives you the tale from many viewpoints.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
Yes, I would definitely try another one of her books. I like her style of writing.
Kathleen from North Port, FL
Have you previously read a book by Lisa Jackson?
I have read other books by Lisa Jackson.
What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I have read several romantic suspense authors. I started at an early age with the likes of Norah Lofts, and Phyllis A. Whitney and Mary Higgins Clark. Recently, I have enjoyed books by Cait London, Nora Roberts and Heather Graham.
What did you think of LOST SOULS?
I didn't really care for this one much. Although I enjoy her style, the vampire angle left me cold. I finished the book, however, and for people who enjoy that type of thing, it will be a good read.
My reading tastes are eclectic, and don't just lean to romantic suspense.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
I will read more books by Lisa Jackson, as I do enjoy her style, and the fact that she focuses more on the plot, than sex.
Susie from Greenwood, IN
Have you previously read a book by Lisa Jackson?
I have never read Lisa Jackson before this.
What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I just found out about Maggie Barbieri and read two of her books. I usually go in for cozies…
What did you think of LOST SOULS?
I loved the book, LOST SOULS. Lisa Jackson has a wonderful ability to build intrigue in her writing. The characters are believable. While building the story with twists, turns and innuendos, the reader doesn’t really get a chance to sort out all the curves before something new is added. The college campus setting combines the innocence of the undergraduates attending classes with the undercurrent of the sinister life of the professors. It is a delicious combination.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
I certainly will put Lisa Jackson on my list of to be read authors.
Arthur from Stillwater. OK
Have you previously read a book by Lisa Jackson?
This book by Lisa's Jackson afforded my first encounter with this author, though I have read previously other romantic suspense novels, notably by the excellent Anne Stuart.
What did you think of LOST SOULS?
I much prefer the plausible plotting by writers of Ms. Stuart's genre over the fantasies formulated by Ms. Jackson, who exposes this squeamish reader to implausible events, such as ritualistic blood-drinking and bizarre sexual behavior.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
In sum, I believe that this initial contact with Ms. Jackson will suffice.
Carol from Des Moines, IA
Have you previously read a book by Lisa Jackson?
I have not read any of her books prior to this.
What other romantic suspense authors do you usually read?
I do not read other romantic suspense authors.
What did you think of LOST SOULS?
It was okay. I really could not tolerate some of the language. It would have been a much better book without all of that.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
Only if I was hard pressed to read something.
