Have you previously read a book by Linda Fairstein?
No, this is the first one I have read.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
John Grisham, Tom Clancy, Kathy Reichs, and David Baldacci.
What did you think of LETHAL LEGACY?
I loved it. I am into books and the setting of the NY Public Library. It was very informative without being boring. I also was interested in the main characters and their relationships.
Would you ever read a future book by Linda Fairstein?
Yes, I plan on starting with the first one in this series.
Kathryn from Warrenton, VA
Have you previously read a book by Linda Fairstein?
This is my first by this author, but I've checked out her first book and intend to read it next. I so enjoy learning things "along the way" of a good plot.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
I've read all of Steve Berry's works, as well as Katherine Neville's and Donna Leon's. Generally, I look for things set in a foreign country or have an unusual premise.
What did you think of LETHAL LEGACY?
I very much enjoyed it. I came to library work after 35 years in nursing, and I love books, so this was fun for me to learn some library background/history. Now I want to take the train to New York, to visit the library!
Would you ever read a future book by Linda Fairstein?
I have FINAL JEOPARDY here to read next, and will try to read them in order as my library patrons do.
Marsha from Fullerton, CA
Have you previously read a book by Linda Fairstein?
I have previously read books by Linda Fairstein and find her characters Alex, Mike and Mercer to be a great combination of personalities. I especially like the touch of Final Jeopardy questions. Although, I have met and spent time with one of the persons that made up the questions for that show and had the privilege of seeing one of my questions on the program. I am aware that the more difficult questions are kept for the special championships. She seems to find very difficult ones for her books. I applaud that decision.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
I read Lee Child, Barry Eisler, Vince Flynn, T.J. Parker, Nelson DeMille and a host of others. This is my favorite genre.
Would you ever read a future book by Linda Fairstein?
I would look forward to more books by Fairstein. She has us on the hook dangling a future romance between Alex and Mike. Although their backgrounds don’t seem to be compatible there is a definite spark between them. I expect she can successfully continue this series for several years. She apparently has an aggressive marketing team as I have seen lots of publicity concerning this book.
Maureen from Carpentersville, IL

No.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
Stephen King and Sidney Sheldon.
What did you think of LETHAL LEGACY?
I loved it. It caught my attention on the first page, which is odd for me.
Would you ever read a future book by Linda Fairstein?
Yes, I would.
Nanci from Ashley Falls, MA
Have you previously read a book by Linda Fairstein?
Yes. I've read nearly all of her books.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
Carla Neggers, Kay Hooper, Beverly Barton, Jordan Dane, Donna Anders and many others.
What did you think of LETHAL LEGACY?
I loved it. Linda Fairstein is one of the best crime writers I've ever read. Her three-dimensional characters are true to life. Her villains are frightening because they're like ordinary people. Her books keep you riveted and on the edge of your seat. I stayed up late reading because it was so compelling that I couldn't put it down. I had to keep going to see what would happen next.
Would you ever read a future book by Linda Fairstein?
Definitely. I wait for them to come out.
Ann from Lees Summit, MO
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
I generally read a lot of "women" as protagonists series. I love Marcia Muller, Sue Grafton, Dana Stabenow and even the Women's Murder Club.
What did you think of LETHAL LEGACY?
I enjoyed it, but perhaps not as much as I thought I would. I found the characters a bit confusing and not as "fleshed out" as I had hoped.
I haven't read as often stories about women as prosecutors and I did enjoy that perspective. Also, the world of rare books is very interesting to me and I really enjoy John Dunning's works. But again, I found LETHAL LEGACY a little too contrived.
Would you ever read a future book by Linda Fairstein?
I believe I would try another.
Norm from Oak Park, MI
Have you previously read a book by Linda Fairstein?
Yes.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
David Baldacci, Harlan Coben, John Grisham, James Patterson, William Lashner, Robert Dugoni, C. J. Box, and Tom Rob Smith.
What did you think of LETHAL LEGACY?
It's slow going --- not one of her best.
Would you ever read a future book by Linda Fairstein?
Yes.
