Yes. I read SUPERSTITION and loved it. The setting was in South Carolina, near where I live.

I read Sandra Brown, Mary Higgins Clark, Nicholas Sparks, Michael Connelly, James Patterson, Sue Grafton, Janet Evanovich and John Grisham.

What did you think of GUILTY?
I enjoyed this page turner from front to back. It had great characters, a good story, and it really kept me guessing. It's just the type of book I love to read --- some romance and a lot of suspense!

I thought it was a fast-paced book and a quick read. I found that I could not read it at night because it was too hard to sleep after! It is a real page turner and you can feel the adrenaline coursing through your veins.

What did you think of GUILTY?
I enjoyed the book. I started it one night, and then on the next night, I got so into it that I stayed up until 1:30 to finish it. Robards wrote an interesting page turner that kept me guessing.

Would you ever read a future book by Karen Robards?
Yes, I would. I don't like explicit sex and would rather leave some things unwritten, but I enjoyed this story and would read another of hers.

What did you think of GUILTY?
GUILTY was a great introduction to the author. As a non-romance reader, but a lover of suspense, I found that she blended the two successfully. The suspense had a few twists I didn't expect and chapter cliff hangers that enticed me to continue. The romance was definitely there, but it wasn't pervasive, making it an interesting addition to a suspenseful plot.

A few scenes and one character did not seem realistic, which caused me some disappointment, but for the most part, it was a very good read.

I read a lot. I read more thrillers and mysteries, but I will pick up a romantic suspense from time to time and if I am interested in the plot, I will read it. It has to have a good story to it; I don't care as much about the romance part. I have a mental list of authors whose books I will always pick up to read what they're about. The names catch my eye as I look at the shelves at my favorite bookstore.

What did you think of GUILTY?
This was very good. I like it when a book pulls me in at the first page, and this one did. I had to keep reading and didn't want to put it down. I have already recommended it to friends in life and online.

Would you ever read a future book by Karen Robards?
Oh, yes. Karen Robards is a very good author and her books always are enjoyable. She is one of the authors I always check on.

What did you think of GUILTY?
This was one of those "can't put it down" books! I was feeling the same anxiety that Kate was feeling when she was caught up in the hostage situation and its aftermath. The ending was a surprise and, thinking back through the book, I could see clues that were dropped. I can generally figure out who the "bad guy" is, but I was way off this time.

I've read Sandra Brown, Iris Johansen, Mary Higgins Clark, Linda Howard and Lisa Jackson, among others. Quite a few of my favorite romance authors have now turned into romantic suspense writers. I still read quite a few of them, but if the story gets too violent, it’s not for me. I want more suspense and less gore.

What did you think of GUILTY?
GUILTY was fine; a fast read that was not her best, but not her worst. I think it is hard to write a book in this genre that can generate some originality and suspense.

Sure, I'd read another book by Karen Robards. I have a lot of favorite authors. Even when an author writes a book that is not so good, I still read his or her next one. When I'm recommending authors to friends, I often say, "start or don't start with this one." I've also been known to reread the books that I really liked.

What did you think of GUILTY?
I liked GUILTY but, for me, it was not as exciting a read as I anticipated from the reviews I had read. It took me a long time to read in bits and pieces, though it turned out to be a pretty good book. There is good character development though it was a bit repetitive throughout the book. I would have liked to see the suspense scenes elaborated on more, especially the ending, which seemed too short.

Would you ever read a future book by Karen Robards?
I would read another book by this author.
