Carol from Chelsea, OK

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum, plus a variety of romantic suspense authors --- Catherine Coulter, Allison Brennan, etc.

What did you think of THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL?
It was good --- actually, it reminded me of Clancy in the way he went back and forth between people and geographical areas. It provided a good picture of how something occurring in one country can have an impact in others.

Would you ever read a future book by Steve Berry?
Yes.

Dena from Bremerton, WA

Have you ever read Steve Berry before?
No.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read James Patterson, Tami Hoag, Erica Spindler, Greg Iles, Dean Koontz, Kathy Reichs and Iris Johansen.

What did you think of THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL?
I loved it. The adventure and mystery were well written. I didn't get lost and felt like I was on the quest with Cass and Cotton (I love the names). The characters were also interesting. This book would make a great movie.

Would you ever read a future book by Steve Berry?
Yes.

Helen from Saint Charles, MO

Have you ever read Steve Berry before?
Yes, THE TEMPLAR LEGACY.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read Greg Iles, Jeffery Deaver, James Patterson and Catherine Coulter.

What did you think of THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL?
I'd give it 3 1/2 stars. I preferred THE TEMPLAR LEGACY. I found it slow at the beginning, but by the end, it definitely kept you on your toes.

Would you ever read another book of Steven Berry?
Definitely. I like to read a number of books by the same author.

Jackie from La Mesa,CA

Have you previously read a book by Steve Berry?
I had not previously read any books by Steve Berry.

What other Suspense/Thriller authors do you read?
I read Michael Connelly, Brian Haig, Lisa Jackson, James Patterson and my all-time favorite, Brad Meltzer.

What did you think of THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL?
I enjoyed reading THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL. It was most interesting how Mr. Berry wove real events from history into a fictional story set in modern times. I liked some of the characters --- some not --- and think they were believable. It was hard at first for me to separate truth from fiction... maybe that is what Mr. Berry meant to happen to his readers.

Would you ever read a future book by Steve Berry?
I probably will read another of his books in the future.

Ray from Selden, NY

Have you ever read Steve Berry before?
Yes. I have read all but one --- THE ALEXANDRIA LINK.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
There are too many to list here. I find Berry's style to be a cross between Dan Brown's and Michael Crichton's.

What did you think of THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL?
I really enjoyed it. It had it all --- good characters, suspense, international settings and historical intrigue.

Would you ever read a future book by Steve Berry?
Most definitely.

Sierra from Nashville, TN

Have you ever read Steve Berry before?
I have read all of Mr. Berry's novels, but this is the "best of the best!”

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Mr. Berry is added to my favorite list, along with Greg Iles, Daniel Silva, Nelson DeMille, David Baldacci and Michael Connelly. I do not know where he gets his ideas for his novels, but I certainly hope he continues to write many more.

What did you think of THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL?
Cotton Malone and his most adventurous friends continue to keep me on the edge of my seat and my heart racing, as I never know what to expect. Mr. Berry includes enough valid history mixed with his own "novel" ideas to make a wonderful story that is difficult to put down. You forget about eating and sleeping. His greatly etched characters and plots continue to make him one of the very best, intellectual, and astonishing thriller writers.

Suzanne from Hornell, NY

Have you ever read Steve Berry before?
No, this was my first book by him.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read Lee Child, Michael Connelly, Iris Johansen, Kathy Reichs, James Grippando and Vince Flynn.

What did you think of THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL?
I enjoyed it. I thought the way the author mixed fact with fiction was fun to read, and his characters were mostly believable. The subject, Alexander, put me off at first, because historical novels are not my cup of soup; but, he mixed it with today's events, along with suspense and a riddle to try to solve, making it a very enjoyable read.

Would you ever read a future book by Steve Berry?
Yes.

Tabitha from Cumming, GA

Have you ever read Steve Berry before?
Yes, THE TEMPLAR LEGACY.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you usually read?
Clive Cussler and James Rollins.

What did you think of THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL?
The book is a fast-paced and intriguing mystery, full of historical references and scientific inquiry to enhance the thriller. I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to fans of THE DA VINCI CODE and international thrillers.

Would you ever read a future book by Steve Berry?
Yes.

Warren from West Hempstead, NY

Have you ever read Steve Berry before?
No.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
James Patterson (especially the Alex Cross stories), Robert Ludlum, John Sandford and David Baldacci.

What did you think of THE VENETIAN BETRAYAL?
Ok; not the greatest. I found it a bit too long getting started.

Would you ever read a future book by Steve Berry?
Yes.
