Here are comments from our group of Signed Copy Readers about Emily Benedek's RED SEA.

Bonnie from Muskegon, MI

What suspense authors do you usually read?
I'm a big fan of James Patterson and Harlan Coben, amongst others, and now I will add Emily Benedek to that list.

What did you think of RED SEA?
Each of the characters was a unique individual, and the writing was elegant and page-turning. I especially liked the contemporary feelof the plot. I believed this could happen any day now and that made it all the more exciting. With all that's going on in the Middle East, this novel is particularly relevant. The relationships between the characters --- Marie with Julian and Morgan, as well as her ambivalence toward Obaidi --- rang true. Even the more minor characters like Shimson, Comstock and "Red" were real and believable.

Would you ever read a future book by Emily Benedek?
I thoroughly enjoyed this thriller by Emily Benedek and look forward to reading her future books. She's heir apparent to Tom Clancy.

Dan from Las Vegas, NV

What suspense authors do you usually read?
I read Michael Connelly, Dean Koontz, Greg Iles, Harlan Coben, Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child, Tess Gerritsen, Jan Burke, Laura Lippman, James Patterson, Andrew Klavan, Dan Brown, Robert Crais, Jonathan Kellerman, Nelson DeMille and Michael Crichton.

What did you think of RED SEA?

I thought it was a good, exciting read. This is a very timely book on the "War on Terror," and does a great job of explaining how a terrorist attack could be carried out against the United States. I would recommend this novel to anyone interested in reading a realistic book about the terrorist threat.

Would you ever read a future book by Emily Benedek?
Yes.

Israel from New York, NY

What suspense authors do you usually read?
None, I don't usually read books by suspense authors on a regular basis unless they're given to me by friends.

What did you think of RED SEA?

It was a thrilling, suspenseful and refreshing look at terrorism in the Muslim world. A very timely release of this book --- the U.S. needs a fresh look at the situation in the Middle East. Finally! Someone who has their eyes wide open to the truth and isn't afraid to bring that truth into the light!

Would you ever read a future book by Emily Benedek?
Yes, absolutely.

Margery from Waterbury, VT

What suspense authors do you usually read?
James Patterson, Nelson DeMille and John Grisham. My favorite genre is historical fiction.

What did you think of RED SEA?
A feast for the mind. RED SEA uses fundamental facts as the foundation for thriller fiction. With good character development, just the right amount of details coupled with flying-along action and a taut plot line, this book is a compelling read. And I want to know more about Marie, Morgan and Julian!

Would you ever read a future book by Emily Benedek?
 Absolutely!

Mary from Pinson, AL

What suspense authors do you usually read?
I have read most of James Patterson’s novels. I also read Stephen White, Harlan Coben, and Michele Martinez.

What did you think of RED SEA?
This is definitely an exciting book. The pace is fast from the very beginning and I love the way the characters are drawn out in detail. Benedek did her homework when it came to airline crash recovery, airline repair, and airline security --- or should I say lack of security. I will be thinking about this book the next time I fly. However, I was a little disappointed in the ending.

Would you ever read a future book by Emily Benedek?
Yes, I assume from the ending of RED SEA that there is going to be a sequel.

Teresa from Toledo, OH

What suspense authors do you usually read?
I read authors such as Patricia Cornwell and Jonathan Kellerman.

What did you think of RED SEA?
Emily Benedek’s writing kept me involved with the book until the end.

Would you ever read a future book by Emily Benedek?

This was a new author for me and I enjoyed this read by her. I would look forward to any more of her new releases.
