Brooke from Brooklyn, NY

I haven't previously read any books by M. J. Rose.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I have read works by David Hosp and Dan Brown.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I really enjoyed THE REINCARNATIONIST. It was a lot of fun. I found it
to be well researched and interesting. I thought morphing the
characters into one another by compressing time was an interesting
device.
Would you ever read a future book by M.J. Rose?
I would definitely read a future book by M. J. Rose.
Cheryl from Angola, NY
Have you previously read a book by M.J. Rose?
Yes, I have read THE VENUS FIX and THE HALO EFFECT.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I am a big fan of Barry Eisler. I also read Steve Berry, Joseph Finder,
and many others.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I have been fascinated by the subject of reincarnation for a long time.
(I am old enough to remember Bridey Murphy.) This book fed that
fascination. It was very enjoyable and one that I will recommend to
others.

Yes.
Debbie from Denton, TX
Have you previously read a book by M.J. Rose?
No.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I love all books by Tess Gerritsen, Vince Flynn, Karin Slaughter and
Robin Cook.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I was intrigued by the tongue-twisted title and enjoyed the 'twisted'
story, bouncing between the fourth century and present day. There are
many layers in the many characters. It was obvious that Ms. Rose did a
lot of research. I definitely liked the time-traveler sensation,
finding the segue effortless. Though not convinced that I have been
reincarnated, I enjoyed this book and recommend it to those who believe
and those who are looking for a good read.
Would you ever read a future book by M.J. Rose?
Bring on the rest of M. J. Rose. I will be happy to add her books to
my 'to be read' pile.
Donald from Chula Vista, CA
Have you previously read a book by M. J. Rose?
No, but I've heard good things about her work.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read Michael Connelly, Dean Koontz, Greg Iles, Harlan Coben, Douglas
Preston, Lincoln Child, Tess Gerritsen, Jan Burke, Laura Lippman, James
Patterson, Andrew Klavan, Dan Brown, Robert Crais, Jonathan Kellerman
and Michael Crichton.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I enjoyed it. I read a lot of thrillers, and I thought the plot of
this novel was both clever and highly original. This book also deals
with a lot of interesting philosophical and spiritual issues related to
the concept of reincarnation. I was very impressed with the ending,
which took me totally my surprise.
Would you ever read a future book by M. J. Rose?
Yes.
Joan from Niagara Falls, ON
Have you previously read a book by M. J. Rose?
No, I have never read any other books by M. J. Rose.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read Tami Hoag, Tess Gerritsen, Karin Slaughter, and Lisa Gardner.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I found THE REINCARNATIONIST to be a very compelling read with a very
intricate plot. I was hooked from the first page, and there were plenty
of twists to keep you reading until the end. A great trip through the
centuries.
Would you ever read a future book by M. J. Rose?
I would definitely read other books by M. J. Rose.
Sandra from Arleta, CA
Have you previously read a book by M. J. Rose?
No, I have never read any of M. J. Rose's previous books. But, the
really great thing about "discovering" a new (new to me) author is also
learning that there are eight books before this one.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Everything by John Sandford, Mary Higgins Clark, Ridley Pearson (I read
his new book just before this one), James Patterson, Kathy Reichs,
Jeffery Deaver, Harlan Coben, Patricia Cornwell, Jonathan Kellerman,
Sue Grafton, Michael Connolly, and Janet Evanovich. The latter,
however, I don't think I would categorize as suspense/thriller ---
she's much too funny.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I have been reading almost continuously for about 5 days but once I
really got into the book, I didn't want to put it down. Only exhaustion
and eye strain made me give up at night.
Would you ever read a future book by M. J. Rose?
I've always been fascinated with the idea of reincarnation, so I had an
open mind about reading THE REINCARNATIONIST. I would certainly read a
future book by M. J. Rose (I will definitely read her earlier books as
well).
Yvonne from El Sobrante, CA
Have you previously read a book by M. J. Rose?
I have read 3 other books by M. J. Rose and have the others sitting on my shelf for future reading.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Right off the top of my head, I enjoy books by Greg Iles, Mary Higgins
Clark, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Nelson DeMille, and others I have
read here and there.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I loved THE REINCARNATIONIST. I was hooked from the very first page and
hated having to put it down for real-life things. I enjoyed every
minute of shifting through time with Josh. I read those last few
sentences and was saddened to see it stop. My son read the inside flap
and said, "Wow this sounds really good, so hold on to it for
me."Ancient times, mystery treasure, art, and a hero --- what’s not to like?
Would you ever read a future book by M. J. Rose?
Absolutely, as long as they keep coming I'll keep reading.
Judith from Baton Rouge, LA
Have you previously read a book by M. J. Rose?
No, this is the first time I've read a book written by this author.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I've mostly been a straight suspense/thriller reader. I do like some mysteries. The latest has been RESTITUTION by Lee Vance --- a great book, by the way. I also enjoy Robert Crais, Joseph Finder, Thomas Harris, Lisa Gardner, and so many more.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
There was way too much history for me. That said, she did a beautiful job. I'm A.D.D. and can't handle too much history. Not only was I able finish the book, I read --- not skimmed --- through the pages. That, to me, says much about the author's writing.
Would you ever read a future book by M. J. Rose?
Yes.
Anita from North Barrington, IL
Have you previously read a book by M. J. Rose?
I have never read anything by M. J. Rose before.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
My favorite authors are David Baldacci, John Sanford, Lincoln Child, John Connolly, and James Patterson. They are suspense/thriller writers to me.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I will say this story was original and complicated, but why do so many
authors make their "strong" heroines so darn weepy and dependent on men
to save them? I am also not sure I would call this a
suspense/thriller, exactly.
Would you ever read a future book by M. J. Rose?
I doubt I will read any future books. I might be tempted if she writes
a sequel to this one, and one seems dying to be written. The loose ends
at the end were more than enough for a sequel.
Cindy from Arvada, CO
Have you previously read a book by M. J. Rose?
This is the first book that I've read by M. J. Rose.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read Kay Hooper, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, James Patterson, Iris
Johansen, Mary Higgins Clark, etc.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I thought that THE REINCARNATIONIST was disconnected in the beginning
and didn't flow well. Somewhere in the middle of the book, the flow
became more seamless. The ending was excellent.
Would you ever read a future book by M. J. Rose?
I'm still undecided whether or not I'll read another M. J. Rose book.
I will be aware of her and I will check out her books to see if their
subjects interest me.
Jeremy from Tucson, AZ
Have you previously read a book by M.J. Rose?
No.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Grisham and Michael Crichton.
What did you think of THE REINCARNATIONIST?
I think it really suffered from the fact that between the theft of the
stones and the kidnapping of Quinn, not much happens. There are a good
three hundred pages that don't really advance the main plot. This is no
good in a suspense novel.
Would you ever read a future book by M. J. Rose?
Probably not.
