Thank you for the advance reader copy of Lisa Jackson's ABSOLUTE FEAR. This is the first book I have read by her.

What did you think of ABSOLUTE FEAR?
I thought ABSOLUTE FEAR was a page-turner. I really enjoyed it. The connections [between] all the suspects and characters were a bit confusing, and I wonder if I should have read SHIVER first. I like to be able to figure out "who dunnit," so it was difficult without more of a background on the characters. I will pass the book on to my friends and family because it really is great.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
I will absolutely read her other books, starting with SHIVER.

What did you think of ABSOLUTE FEAR?
Lisa made it easy for her readers to slip into the lead character's life, and into an exciting and terrifying twist of mixed-up messages, mangled dolls, shattered memories and bodies. I read this book in a desperate rush to find the clues to the madman's identity, and for Eve's memory to return. I was afraid to breathe at times, as my heart pounded in fear for and along with Eve as the messages, murder and mayhem intensified. I dreamed of the story when asleep, and could hardly wait to get to the next page when awake.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
Yes, absolutely! I will definitely add books by Lisa Jackson to my favorite writers list, and recommend that everyone I know read her suspenseful romances. Now I have to go get SHIVER, so excuse me, and happy reading everyone!

What did you think of ABSOLUTE FEAR?
I enjoyed ABSOLUTE FEAR by Lisa Jackson. I couldn't put it down! The plot kept me guessing 'til the end. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I have started reading some of her other books: IF SHE ONLY KNEW and SEE HOW SHE DIES. Thanks for the advanced copy!

What did you think of ABSOLUTE FEAR?
As a longtime reader of Lisa Jackson, I was not disappointed by her latest book, ABSOLUTE FEAR. It kept you wondering what would happen until the very end. She did leave some loose ends (the brothers and the will), which I hope she includes in her next book. You really had no idea whom Eve should trust --- Bentz, Montoya, Cole, or even Anna. The DNA results were a real shocker. The ending was a surprise when the actual killer was revealed. The addition of seeing the future was also unexpected at the end.
I hope she starts the next book where this one ends. It will be an interesting read, especially [since it is set] in New Orleans where voodoo and the such abound. I can't wait. In the meantime, I guess I will be catching up on Nora Roberts, Sandra Brown, Jayne Ann Krentz, Stella Cameron, Catherine Coulter, Tami Hoag and Patricia Cornwell.

ABSOLUTE FEAR caught my attention beginning with the prologue. Mystery, murder, interconnected relationships and a romance with an unusual twist.

What did you think of ABSOLUTE FEAR?
I loved it! It was a grabber from the first page. It was one of those books that you had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next; but, on the other hand, you didn't want it to end. Eve, the main character in the book, was certainly on a roller coaster ride. The fact that she couldn't remember things after she got shot (thinking it was her boyfriend, Cole, that shot her) made for very interesting reading. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Most definitely. I'll be looking for other books written by her.

What did you think of ABSOLUTE FEAR?
I thought ABSOLUTE FEAR was entertaining, if not exactly novel. Events in the book were fairly predictable --- heroine in jeopardy, untrustworthy hero, assorted red herrings, etc. --- until the last third of the book. The climactic scenes were outstanding, and at that point I couldn't put it down, irritating my husband who was ready for dinner. I'd give the book a 4 on a scale of 5 just because of that ending. Leaving it open for a sequel was clever. My greatest disappointment was that there was no feel of New Orleans, apart from mention of the various parts of the city. I grew up there.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
I'd probably read more of her books if just to find out what happens to Bentz.

What did you think of ABSOLUTE FEAR?
I enjoyed it, but felt I had already read it. [It featured] the same two police officers --- which is not a problem, they are two good characters --- the same closed mental hospital/convent, and a very similar self-abusive, psychotic killer who hears voices and has a self-assigned "title." It might have been nice to know ahead of time that this was a trilogy, so then I wouldn't have had quite the sense of Deja Vu through the whole book. It was just too similar to HOT BLOODED and COLD BLOODED.
Would you ever read a future book by Lisa Jackson?
Yes. In fact, I just finished MOST LIKELY TO DIE, done in collaboration with two other authors. I actually liked it better than ABSOLUTE FEAR.
