Fast Facts:

• Like his protagonist Alex Delaware, Jonathan received a Ph.D in psychology from UCLA at the age of 24, with a specialty in the treatment of children. He conducted extensive research on the emotional aspects of pediatric cancer with the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, acted as the founding director of their Psychosocial Program Division of Oncology and published two medical texts on the subject before focusing his attention on writing fiction.
  
  
• Faye earned a BA in Mathematics and a doctorate in dentistry from UCLA and conducted research in oral biology before publishing her first novel, THE RITUAL BATH, in 1986.
  
  
• Jonathan worked his way through school as an editorial cartoonist, columnist, editor and freelance musician.

• Faye's novel crime/thriller novel STRAIGHT INTO DARKNESS, set in 1930s Munich, was inspired by several trips to Germany, during which she rediscovered her father's experiences as a Jewish G.I. stationed there during World War II.
  
  
• On his spare time, Jonathan collects and plays guitars, draws, paints and exercises.
  
  
• On her spare time, Faye enjoys playing the mandolin and guitar, gardening, sewing and fencing.
  
  
• Jonathan and Faye have collaborated once before, on the New York Times bestselling DOUBLE HOMICIDE.
