Here are comments from our group of Advance Readers about Tara Taylor Quinn's IN PLAIN SIGHT.

Ann from West Henrietta, NY

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
I have never read anything by Ms. Quinn, but I'm happy to have been introduced to her.

What other romantic suspense/thriller authors do you read?
The other authors in this genre that I have read include Tami Hoag, Jonathan Kellerman and Sandra Brown.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
I have just finished IN PLAIN SIGHT by Tara Taylor Quinn. It was well written and moved along very quickly with plot twists and turns.

Grace from Rowland Heights, CA

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
I have not read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn before.

What other romantic suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I don't usually read romantic suspense/thrillers.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
It was an entertaining book that kept me turning the pages to find out what happened next. It made me wonder about what people really do in their homes. I also enjoyed the court scenes and seeing Janet and Simon's relationship develop.

Would you ever read a future book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
Yes. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel to IN PLAIN SIGHT.

Jana from Cambria, CA

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
No, this is my first.

What other romantic suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I tend to gravitate toward mysteries, but there's not always a clear delineation between them and romantic suspense. Some of the authors I read who fall more in line with romantic suspense are: Barbara Michaels, Mary Stewart and Nora Roberts. Many "old-fashioned" suspense novels [appeal to me], including works by the following authors (some of whom are deceased): Mary Roberts Rinehart, Patricia Wentworth, Dorothy Macardle, Ursula Curtiss and Norah Lofts.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
The story was unsettling, and I enjoyed reading it. One of the things I liked most was that the characters behaved sensibly and responsibly. The heroine was cautious without being paranoid, brave without being reckless. So often, especially in suspense, the action is moved along only by a character doing something stupid. In this novel, characters' personalities drove the plot, rather than the other way around. This allows the characters to seem more like real people. As a reader, I want to be able to like the protagonists and even empathize with them; I was able to do that as I read this book.

Would you ever read a future book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
Yes, I would be happy to read one of her future books.

Judy from Holden, LA

What other [suspense/thriller authors] do you read?
Sandra Brown, John Grisham and Jeffery Deaver among many others.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
IN PLAIN SIGHT was great. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading it. I did not want to put it down. She makes you feel like it is you in the book going through everything. I really like the way she comes across with her twists and turns. This truly was a nail-biting story to the end. I really enjoyed reading this book. Thanks.

Margaret from Garland, TX

Would you ever read a future book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
Yes.

Marjorie from Manilla, IN

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
I certainly enjoyed reading IN PLAIN SIGHT. I have read Tara Taylor Quinn before and plan to read her future books.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
IN PLAIN SIGHT certainly keeps the reader's attention until the very last word. Quinn is an expert at building suspense and creating marvelous characters. The reader keeps wanting to say, "Look out, things may not be as they seem," but you are never quite sure why you feel this way. The ending is most satisfactory, actually bringing forth a deep sigh.

Merry from Prairie Village, KS

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
No, I have not previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn.

What other romantic suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read Suzanne Brockmann, Stella Cameron, Linda Lael Miller, Catherine Coulter, Carla Neggers, Amanda Quick and lots more.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
I did enjoy the book. It was a good story that held my attention. It only took me two days to read it.

Would you ever read a future book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
Yes, I would read other books written by her.<

Patricia from West Liberty, KY

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
This is the first book I have read by Tara Taylor Quinn.

What other romantic suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read a lot of different authors, too many to say.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
IN PLAIN SIGHT is a wonderful book. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I loved the characters and the whole storyline. I laughed, I cried. It was a wonderful roller coaster ride. Simon was my favorite character because he was such a tortured soul. He suffered too much and deserved to feel some happiness in his life.

Would you ever read a future book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
I would love to read more of her books.

Rosemary from Willoughby, OH

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
I have previously read books by Tara Taylor Quinn.

What other romantic suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Other suspense authors that I read are Suzanne Brockmann, Stella Cameron, Karen Harper, Carla Neggers and Karen Robards.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
IN PLAIN SIGHT had a intricate and complex storyline. It was well written and very engaging. The story of Janet McNeil was very dark and bittersweet. At times, I wanted to put the book down, but the characters were so compelling that I couldn't. It certainly did not have the traditional happy ending, and while I was reading it, I felt enveloped in sadness. The ending [alluded to] more books, and if/when they come out, I would certainly want to read them. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a powerful suspense novel.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read and comment on IN PLAIN SIGHT.

Sheila from Schoolcraft, MI

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
No, this is the first book I have read by Tara Taylor Quinn. Thank you, Bookreporter.com, for the opportunity to review this book!

What other romantic suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read a lot of suspense/thriller/mystery books. but this is the first romantic suspense novel I have read. Some suspense authors I enjoy are Elizabeth George, Harlan Coben, Ruth Rendell and Michael Connelly.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
Great book! I liked the characters, the plot development, and the surprises. [The subject matter was very timely] and the little subplots added extra dimension to the novel. It was easy to be empathetic with Jan, the primary character, and I really liked her neighbor, Simon. In fact, all of the characters were very "real" to me --- real emotions, real problems, real lives. The storyline had enough twists and turns to keep me up reading past my bedtime!

Would you ever read a future book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
Yes, I will read Tara Taylor Quinn again. I'm looking forward to picking up [more] of her books.

Rita from Coppell, TX

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
I have never read any books by Tara Taylor Quinn.

What other romantic suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I don't remember reading any books in the romantic suspense genre, although I do read a lot of mysteries with a few suspense novels mixed in.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
IN PLAIN SIGHT deals with a very deep, serious subject, albeit rather shallowly. The plot and the characters are really pretty superficial. It didn't take too long to figure out where everything fit. There's a fair amount of coincidence in how the characters fit together --- how convenient that an ex-FBI agent lives across the street from the Asst. DA and they both are investigating the same thing? And the brother is just too obvious. On the other hand, the book did keep my attention. I read it very quickly and found it entertaining.

Would you ever read a future book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
I might read another romantic suspense novel, although maybe not one by this author. I wonder if her books are formulaic?

Anna from Lake Worth, FL

Have you previously read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
I've never read a book by Tara Taylor Quinn before.

What other romantic suspense/thriller authors do you read?
The only other romantic suspense/thrillers I've read (and that was many years ago) were by Mary Stewart and Phyllis A. Whitney.

What did you think of IN PLAIN SIGHT?
I had trouble getting into IN PLAIN SIGHT. I still haven't finished it, but I really didn't like it very much. I certainly wanted to, but...

Would you ever read a future book by Tara Taylor Quinn?
I don't think I'll read any future books by Tara Taylor Quinn. I will, however, pass the book on to friends and see if they like it any better then I did. I thank you for the opportunity to try the book and I hope that the author does well with it.
