- At age nine Greg Rucka entered and won first prize in a short-story contest.
- Greg Rucka worked as a house painter, emergency medical technician, security guard and fight choreographer, among other jobs prior to writing full-time.

- For editorial/production reasons, Greg Rucka's full name, Gregory, was shortened to Greg on the cover of his first novel, KEEPER. KEEPER was the first novel in the author's popular Atticus Kodiak series.
- A GENTLEMAN'S GAME is based on the Eisner Award-winning graphic novel series. Rucka, along with Michael Lark recently won the Eisner Award for Best Serialized Story, Gotham Central, "Half a Life," issues 6-10.
