- Perri O'Shaughnessy is a writing team made up of two sisters, Mary and Pamela.
- The name 'Perri' is "an homage to Perry Mason" as well as a meshing of the sisters' first names.
- Pamela has a degree in political science as well as a law degree from Harvard Law School. Prior to writing novels she worked as a trial lawyer.
- Mary received her B.A. in English literature from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Prior to writing novels she was a writer and editor for multimedia projects.
- Pamela's and Mary's children run the authors' website, Perrio.com.
- The authors' won second place in the Mystery Writer's of America's 50th Anniversary Golden Mysteries contest for their story "The Long Walk."
- The sisters' first novel featuring Nina Reilly, MOTION TO SUPPRESS, was published in 1995.
- The Perri O'Shaughnessy novels have been translated into a number of languages, including Bulgarian, Dutch, French, German, Japanese and Spanish.
- In addition to novels, Perri O'Shaughnessy has written and published a number of short stories.
