What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I usually read books by Ludlum, Clancy, Grisham, and Meltzer. I follow each of these authors quite closely and read each new book as it comes out.
What did you think of THE 37TH HOUR?
I enjoyed THE 37TH HOUR. The book had a personal side that most thrillers do not have. As I read the book, I found myself asking many of the same questions that the main character (Sarah) was asking with regards to her husband (Mike). The ending was very surprising to me (although I may not have been thinking the most clearly…I finished the book at 3 AM). I agree with other reviewers in that the book is a page turner that I couldn't put down. I wish that many of the other author's above would add a more personal side to their stories. The intricacies and dialogues pulled the reader into the story and drove the tempo. Many authors today use dialogue as a method of adding mass (pages) to the book. I feel that Jodi has a rare ability to communicate through the characters and I look forward to her upcoming books.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Suspense/thriller is not a genre I usually read...I'm someone who does not like to be scared or put on edge by my reading. The edgiest I get in suspense/thriller is Nora Roberts when she's writing in her romantic suspense personae...CAROLINA MOON, for example.
What did you think of THE 37TH HOUR?
Well done!! Even though suspense is not my cup of tea, I stuck with it and, in the end, realized that I had really liked the book.
Would you read future Jodi Compton books?
Yes...I would like to find out more about Sarah Pribek and see how Compton develops that character!

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Sandra Brown, Tess Gerritsen, Erica Spindler, Lisa Jackson, Mary Higgins Clark, Iris Johansen.
What did you think of THE 37TH HOUR?
This was a quick read and difficult to put down. I especially liked how the author told the story in present tense but took you back to the past to explain how things came about. The storyline was excellent.
Would you read future Jodi Compton books?
Definitely!! I'm glad to know that she is working on her next novel and bringing Sarah Pribek back! I look forward to reading more of her novels.

What did you think of THE 37TH HOUR?
This was one of the best books I have read in a long time! The story was great, moved at a great pace, and was able to distract and enthrall me the entire time!!

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Only two... David Baldacci and James Patterson.
What did you think of THE 37TH HOUR?
I did enjoy the story. Pribek has an opportunity to become a strong series lead as Compton's series continues. The story of Shiloh's disappearance was too complex to be brought up and solved in one book...it was difficult to become involved with Pribek because she was so charged during her search. Too many questions and too many reasons for the story...development of character and story not complete. Pribek needs humanizing...she is not a real person....why did she marry Shiloh? Was there any magnet other than sex?
Will you read future Jodi Compton books?
Yes, I realize I was pretty glum on the above observations...but the Pribek has a chance to develop and it will be interesting to see what is planned for the detective in other books.

What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
Too many to list them all. Some favorites include Lawrence Block, James Lee Burke, Michael Connelly, Robert Crais, Loren D. Estleman, Janet Evanovich, Linda Fairstein, Kinky Friedman, Tess Gerritsen, Sue Grafton, Chloe Green, Steve Hamilton, Carl Hiaasen, J. A. Jance (JP Beaumont series), Stuart M. Kaminsky, Elmore Leonard, Michael McGarrity, Robert B. Parker, Bill Pronzini, Kathy Reichs, S. J. Rozan, John Sandford, James Swain, and Donald E. Westlake.
What did you think of THE 37TH HOUR?
Didn't care much for it due to too much boring backstory and lack of empathy with the main characters. I was glad that I didn't actually pay for it.
Would you read future Jodi Compton books?
Probably not.
