GARDEN OF BEASTS is a fast-paced thriller that holds your attention from beginning to end. Twists lead the reader to an unpredictable conclusion. An excellent read!

What did you think of GARDEN OF BEASTS?
Move over DA VINCI CODE. It was my pleasure to review that blockbuster last year, and Deaver's GARDEN OF BEASTS should shoot right to the top of the bestseller lists. The timing is perfect --- Summer Olympics, world in danger, and a fantastic cat and mouse plot. Get ready for a page-turning adventure. Deaver tops himself.

Have you read books by Jeffery Deaver before?
I've read almost every book Jeffery Deaver has written. I'm a big fan of his "Rune" series and have enjoyed the Location Scout books as well. His stand-alones are among some of my favorite re-reads. THE BLUE NOWHERE was among my favorite books of 2001.
What other suspense/thriller authors do you read?
I read a lot in the field, although I would have to say I'm more of a reader of mystery/crime fiction than "suspense/thriller" books. I tend not to like books that are described as "thrillers." Among my favorite writers of mystery and/or crime fiction are S.J. Rozan, Barbara Seranella, James Sallis, Dana Stabenow, Jasper Fforde and the late Kate Ross.
What did you think of GARDEN OF BEASTS?
I enjoyed it. This is a period in history that interests me and I appreciate the challenge of setting a book during that time.
Would you read future books by Jeffery Deaver?
Oh sure.
