Major Recurring Character Profiles
Dr. Alan Gregory
Dr. Alan Gregory is a well-respected psychologist in Boulder, Colorado. Devoted to his wife Lauren Crowder and his young daughter Grace, Gregory is driven to be the best father and husband --- and best psychologist --- he can possibly be. Stubborn and highly ethical, Gregory often struggles with himself when a patient may have inside information on crime.... as seen in WARNING SIGNS and THE BEST REVENGE.
Lauren Crowder
Survivor. Tough. Determined. All three words describe district attorney Lauren Crowder, wife of Dr. Gregory. Crowder does not back down from a challenge ---White's books portray her as an attorney, a prosecutor and a murder suspect. Lauren faces challenges outside the office as she is battling multiple sclerosis and raising a young child. Loyal and dedicated, she is the perfect match for Alan Gregory. Note that White has earned high marks from those who suffer from multiple sclerosis for his accurate descriptions of this illness within his novels.
Sam Purdy
Over the years Detective Sam Purdy has become a close friend to Alan. While Purdy often becomes impatient when Alan can't or won't divulge information which may help Sam's investigations, he tries hard not to let the tension become personal.
Lucy Tanner
Lucy Tanner is Sam Purdy's partner and friend of Alan and Lauren. The friendship and loyalty of all four are tested in WARNING SIGNS....
Dr. Diane Estevez
Dr. Diane Estevez shares an office building with Alan, and is a friend Alan can turn to when he wants candid advice from a colleague. Diane tells it like she sees it, whether Alan likes what she has to say or not.
