Freedom River
FREEDOM RIVER highlights the life of John Parker, an ex-slave
(he bought his freedom) living in Kentucky who helped other African
Americans escape slavery via the Underground Railroad and cross the
Ohio River to freedom. Dramatic paintings, many scenes lit by
pearly moonlight, add something special to this story inspired by
actual events.
