Christmas Bliss

With her Christmas Eve wedding to chef Daniel Stipanek only days away, antiques dealer Weezie Foley has a lot on her mind and even more on her plate. Unfortunately, Daniel is in New York City doing a short stint as a guest chef at the renowned Cucina Carlotta restaurant owned by the smoking hot Carlotta Donatello, so Weezie is left on her own in Savannah to tie up the last-minute details of their fast-approaching nuptials.

At the same time, Weezie's best friend and owner of the Tybee Island's Breeze Inn, BeBe Loudermilk, is due to deliver her first baby in just six weeks. Although Harry Sorrentino, a self-employed charter fishing boat captain, is the man of her dreams, BeBe can't bring herself to commit to marrying the father of her child. Her previous excursions into wedded bliss have left her dragging her feet when it comes to taking the plunge again, even though Harry and her friends and relatives are eager to see the two tie the knot.

"...a fun, frolicking novel... Full of Southern charm, amusing characters and lots of laughs, this is the perfect holiday read."

When a stranger visits BeBe and informs her that she may still be married to her louse of an ex-husband, Richard Hodges, BeBe finds herself in a compromising position that she's not sure how to find her way out of. The stress of her pregnancy, her fledgling relationship and the approaching holidays leave her in a state of overwhelming turmoil. Thank God for best friends like Weezie, the only person she can turn to for help to sort out the mess in which she has found herself.

When Daniel phones Weezie, feeling ill and down in the dumps, BeBe encourages her to drop everything and fly to New York City to support her fiancé. Missing Daniel and slightly concerned about his close proximity to the bombshell Carlotta Donatello, Weezie allows herself to be convinced and jets off to New York City the following day to surprise Daniel while BeBe remains behind to try and sort out her problems. Unfortunately, when Weezie alights in the Big Apple, she begins to wonder whether or not Daniel is considering a career change that may involve a permanent move there.

As the holidays approach, Weezie and BeBe find themselves becoming ever more immersed in their respective dilemmas, and the clock is ticking. Will they be able to sort out their problems and forge futures with their men, or will fate throw a monkey wrench into the works and ruin both of their chances for happiness?

Told from the alternating points of view of Weezie and BeBe, CHRISTMAS BLISS is a fun, frolicking novel courtesy of bestselling author Mary Kay Andrews. It’s also filled with lots of narrative tension, leaving readers to wonder whether or not the two lifelong friends will be able to sort out their love lives and various problems in time for a merry Christmas and a couple of happily-ever-afters. Full of Southern charm, amusing characters and lots of laughs, this is the perfect holiday read.
