This new Library of America collection is the first new series the publisher is
issuing devoted to a living writer's literary career. Edited by Richard Ford
and Welty scholar, Michael Kreyling, these books are must-haves for any Welty devotee.
EUDORA WELTY: COMPLETE NOVELS is the first book to gather all of Welty's longer fiction
into one volume. The collection begins with her first novel, THE ROBBER
BRIDEGROOM, a fantasy set in Mississippi. Also included are: DELTA WEDDING, THE
PONDER HEART, LOSING BATTLES, and THE OPTIMIST'S DAUGHTER, for which she won
the Pulitzer prize.
