Virtual Vandals

Review

Virtual Vandals

The year is 2025, and old time baseball sluggers are to appear at
the plate at the Baltimore Orioles' first home game. Babe Ruth and
Ty Cobb appearing in Camden Yards stadium in 2025? Well, almost
anything is possible with virtual reality. Camden Yards has
installed a huge computer, which allows these virtual players to
appear in holographic images and face the pitcher. This is all
great entertainment until four odd figures rise in the stands with
old fashioned Tommy guns and begin shooting virtual bullets into
the crowded stadium. Even though a shot from those bullets doesn't
draw blood, they can kill if you are hooked into the simulation
system.

This incident is merely the beginning of a plot that could lead to
a major disaster. The Net Force Explorer team is determined to find
out who those people were and what is behind the incident. Matt
Hunter and his friends get caught up in this mystery, which if
unsolved, could turn into an international incident. Join the Net
Force teens as they travel through cyberspace trying to stop the
transfer of potentially dangerous technology to some very dirty
hands. Don't miss this second installment of the Tom Clancy series
for teenage readers.
