Her first bestseller was THE STRANGER BESIDE ME, about her personal relationship to infamous serial killer Ted Bundy. A former Seattle police officer, she knew the crime scene firsthand. For more than two decades, she was a powerful advocate for victims of violent crime. She passed away on July 26, 2015 at the age of 83 after suffering a heart attack.
