I like both fiction and non-fiction. My recent authors include: J. K.
Rowling - the Harry Potter Series; Rhonda Byrne – THE SECRET; Gabriel
Marquez – ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF SOLITUDE; Gregory Maguire – WICKED;

What did you think of "On Wings of the Morning"?
I loved it.It took me a couple of chapters to figure out the pattern
of the book, going back and forth between Morgan and Georgia, and I
also had to occasionally look back to get an understanding of the dates
for each chapter. However, having been a small plane pilot, I could
relate to what the main characters were seeing and feeling. The writing
sucked me into the story, and I could feel the emotions that each
character was expressing.I even had to dig out my handkerchief to dab
my eyes once or twice.I found the book hard to put down once I got
into the flow. The descriptions of what was going on in the world
during that time period and what was going on inside the characters
were wonderful. The book was written such that it all seemed
potentially truthful, so I was wondering at the end how much was true
and how much was fictional. I am glad the author added the"Chat" to
determine the fictional parts from the real-life parts.
Would you ever read a future book by Marie Bostwick?
Yes; in fact, I plan to look for a copy of FIELDS OF GOLD, the
predecessor to ON WINGS OF THE MORNING.I would also be interested in
reading other books by the author.

What did you think of ON WINGS OF THE MORNING?
When I read a book, I look for a story that engages and entertains
me.If it’s a really good book, I gain knowledge or insight in having
read it.This book accomplished all of that for me.Ms. Bostwick did a
very nice job conveying the passion felt by Georgia and Morgan for
flying and how each was affected by their own illegitimacy. I loved the
spiritual and patriotic elements. She also educated me on an era in our
nation’s history I only knew vaguely.I was aware that women were
involved in the military in non-combat roles during World War II, but I
never knew the role of the WASP.What an amazing and strong group of
women.I took a look at the web site referenced by Ms. Bostwick at the
back of the book --- very interesting information.
Would you ever read a future book by Marie Bostwick?
Yes! I am actually going to pick up FIELDS OF GOLD. I’d love to read
Eva’s story.
Mary from Thomson, IL
Have you previously read a book by Marie Bostwick?
No, I've not read anything by Marie Bostwick before.
What other authors do you usually read?
I read so many other authors that I can't list them all.
What did you think of ON WINGS OF THE MORNING?
I thought ON WINGS OF THE MORNING was excellent. It told me a great
deal about the WASP Program that I didn't know, and although I was in
high school during World War II, I recall the way she presented life
during these years as very accurate. I normally don't read much in the
way of religious/faith-based material, but when Georgia and Morgan were
discussing why good and bad things happen --- that we grumble and
complain when bad things occur, but simply accept the good stuff
without ever expressing our gratitude --- I thought the way Morgan
spoke of "God's perspective" about this was a very common sense way to
express it and this made it very easy to accept. It was a touching,
sentimental book in some ways, yet filled with logic andfactual events
that made it an interesting read. One of those books that, upon
reaching the last page, gives you a feeling of great satisfaction for
having chosen it.
Would you ever read a future book by Marie Bostwick?
Yes, I would happily read any future books Ms. Bostwick brings forth.
Cindy from Pana, IL
Have you previously read a book by Marie Bostwick?
No, I have not. But I will look for her in the future because I really
did enjoy ON THE WINGS OF MORNING.
What other authors do you usually read?
I read a wide variety of authors. I am a high school librarian so I
read a lot of young adult authors. I also enjoy other genres of
fiction: science fiction and fantasy (J.K. Rowling, of course, Connie
Willis, Orson Scott Card, Charlaine Harris, Naomi Novik, and many
more), mystery and suspense (Kay Hooper, Linda Howard, Iris Johansen,
Suzanne Brockmann, Josephine Tey, Harlan Coben, Sharon McCrumb, Ridley
Pearson and more), historical fiction (Diana Gabaldon, Sharon K.
Penman, Ken Follet, etc.), and romance (Jennifer Crusie, Julia Quinn,
Carla Kelley, etc.). Actually, there is very little that I don't read
and I'm always delighted to find a new author.
What did you think of ON WINGS OF THE MORNING?
I enjoyed the book. I liked the World War II setting and enjoyed
learning more about the WASPs. I found her characters appealing.
Would you ever read a future book by Marie Bostwick?

trips to the book store.

What did you think of ON WINGS OF THE MORNING?
It was a very interesting story with much good information on the part
women played during the Second World War as WASPs.It was also a
romance of the times and among the main characters. If I had never been
on a plane before, I would know how it feels after reading this book.
Would you ever read a future book by Marie Bostwick?
I do not think I would read another book by this author. As you can see
by the partial list of authors I do read, this is not really my kind of
book. I am planning to read one of the books she listed as a reference.

One always appreciates a book that is well researched. I enjoyed
reliving the wartime era, and the hardships faced by men and women who
did their part for the war effort. I felt like I was living in those
times, and I felt all their pain and frustrations. I learned a lot
reading this book. The surprise historical tie-in was very clever.
