Here are comments from our group of Advance Readers about Nancy Horan's LOVING FRANK.

Cecile from New Martinsville, WV

What authors do you usually read?
I like Barbara Kingsolver, Michael Cunningham, and Keith Maillard. I also love to read first-time authors.

What did you think of LOVING FRANK?
I am reading LOVING FRANK now and I LOVE IT! I have already recommended it to friends and am going to suggest it for my book club.

Would you ever read a future book by Nancy Horan?
I would most definitely read other books by Nancy Horan.

Christine from Oregon, WI

What did you think of LOVING FRANK?
I thoroughly enjoyed LOVING FRANK. I live near Madison, Wisconsin, so I hear Frank Lloyd Wright's name often, but I had never read anything this extensive about him. I thought the story was fascinating. Mamah was an interesting person; she must have been very different from the usual wife and mother of her time.

What authors do you usually read? Would you ever read a future book by Nancy Horan?
I usually read a variety of authors, and would certainly read another book by Nancy Horan. I think she writes very well, and certainly made this book entertaining and difficult to put down. Most of the books I read are not new, so it's exciting to have read something that very few others have. I'll be recommending LOVING FRANK to a lot of people!

Mary from Huntington Beach, CA

What authors do you usually read?
Philippa Gregory, Alison Weir, Janet Evanovich, Dave Barry, and a multitude of Chick Lit authors.

What did you think of LOVING FRANK?
I thought it was a great read --- a 4 out 5 --- although I much prefer reading this type of book in winter. The author did an amazing job of capturing the feeling of this time period, when women were just coming into their own in this country. I have read about Frank Lloyd Wright before, but the author really brings out his character through Mamah.

Would you ever read a future book by Nancy Horan?
Yes, especially any historical fiction she might write.

Michelle from Starke, FL

What authors do you usually read?
Mary Higgins Clark
Jayne Ann Krentz
Stephen King
John Grisham

What did you think of LOVING FRANK?
I simply adored it! It's the story of a scandalous love affair, the conflicts and struggles faced by an independent woman in the early 1900s, and the effect both [she and her lover] left on those who surrounded her. Sometimes surprising, at times shocking, and always a joy to read, this was the first book in ages I had difficulty putting down.

Would you ever read a future book by Nancy Horan?
Absolutely!

Mary from Huntington Beach, CA

What authors do you usually read?
Philippa Gregory, Janet Evanovich, Dave Barry, and a lot of Chick Lit.

What did you think of LOVING FRANK?
I have to say that my opinion of this book changed after the first 100 pages.  I really give it a 5 out of 5 for being an amazing story based on facts.  I wish I had known something about Mamah Cheney before I started it. I love historical fiction, and this is one of the best books I have read this year.

Would you ever read a future book by Nancy Horan?
Yes.
