Dear Reader:

I am a hopeless romantic and very sentimental which means yes, I do enjoy Valentine's Day. In fact, I have been calling February "the love month," which makes it feel a lot warmer than it usually is. To celebrate love and romance we have a few features to share. First up, an excerpt from MAGIC WORDS entitled: "Can You Say I Love You Too Much?" We have a feature called  LOVE, SEX AND INTIMACY where we look at books about falling in love, staying in love...and handling a breakup. On Monday we will have a Romance Roundtable on AuthorsOnTheWeb.com where more than 18 romance authors will share their thoughts on this genre. I have been reading the early responses and this is going to be one terrific feature!

Since we know that money is something on everyone's minds we have a new contest this week where a winner can receive a one-on-one financial consultation with Dr. Pamela York Klainer, financial consultant and author of HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH? Details are below.

A few of you have written in with suggestions for polls and questions of the week. If you have ideas for these, please write me at Carol@bookreporter.com, and be sure to let me know if it is okay to credit you for the idea using your email address or screen name.

This Week's Poll:

So far, the results from last week indicate that many of you are intrigued by the idea of online excerpts and video or audio interviews, but possibly haven't experienced them. With the outstanding excerpts, and the Jean M. Auel video interview we're offering this week, we decided to continue the poll after readers have a chance to try them. Vote here.

This Week's Question

Do you ever read a few pages first to see if you want to buy the book?

Respond to the question of the week by sending mail to: Question@bookreporter.com.
