What did you think of IN THE WOODS?
I found it to be very well written. It kept my interest throughout. The descriptions and intonations were very similar to those of Maeve Binchy.

What other mystery authors do you usually read?
Some of my favorite authors are Dean Koontz and Giles Blunt; I am also completely devoted to John Connolly. I am hooked on Agatha Christie and Edgar Allan Poe as well --- their work is timeless.
What did you think of IN THE WOODS?
I found IN THE WOODS to be impossible to put down. This work is compelling, beautifully written, and as horrific as it is remarkable. The psychological and criminal aspects are absolutely haunting. For a first novel, this is a fantastic work. The detail of the plot and characters’ complexities will keep one riveted for hours. It was one of the most surprisingly good reads I've had in a long time.

It started out being a slow read for me, but after the first few chapters I couldn't put it down. Ms. French tells the story skillfully, weaving together the pieces of the puzzle to solve the murder.

What did you think of IN THE WOODS?
I was hooked from the first page. Ms. French paints with her words. It was so easy to read this book, and I could see everything in my mind. The book kept me on the edge the entire time I was reading. The characters are very believable and I felt like I knew them. I like reading a book and not wanting it to end because I feel like I am losing friends.
Would you ever read a future book by Tana French?
I would definitely read more of her books.
Theresa from St. Peters, MO
What other mystery authors do you usually read?
To be honest, I don't consider myself a reader of mysteries, so I don't have an answer to this question. The intro provided for this book intrigued me and I have to admit that the Irish location was probably the biggest draw for me. After reading IN THE WOODS, I'll give the mystery section a more serious glance now and then.
What did you think of IN THE WOODS?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book --- much more than I expected I would. I liked the comedic touches and how I got caught up in trying to figure out what was going on throughout the book and getting hit by some of the out-of-the-blue discoveries that affected the case. I'm going to have to re-read it, because I'm just not sure that I discovered the answer to what happened to Peter and Jamie. Then again, maybe I did and need to spend some more time thinking it through.
Would you ever read a future book by Tana French?
Definitely.
