2008 Finalists
The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) announced the finalists for the inaugural William C. Morris Award. Named for the longtime publishing executive beloved in the library world for his enthusiasm for promoting literature for children and teens, the Award honors books written for young adults by first-time, previously unpublished authors. The winner will be announced on January 26, 2009 during the Youth Media Awards at the ALA Midwinter Meeting.
The finalists include:
