Nominees
The Private Eye Writers of America (PWA) has announced its nominees for the 2004 Shamus Awards, honoring excellence in the Private Eye writing tradition. Books eligible for the awards must include a main character that is paid for investigative work, but not employed by the government. Any books or short stories meeting this criteria and first published in 2003 were considered for the awards which will be presented in October at PWA's 22nd anniversary banquet in Toronto, Canada.
