So many books from which to choose --- but I still love THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE. I saw the film in August while in Canada. I think you needed to have read the book to really get the movie. Another great one I found this year was THE DAY THE FALLS STOOD STILL. It meant more to me because I had just been there for two weeks. Great read!

This is the story of a lonely doctor whose estranged daughter leaves her son at her father's NYC home in the dead of winter. Beautifully written characters who make you ache with their heartbreak make this a novel that I want to share with every reader I know.
