I think this book shuold be given to every couple as a wedding gift, to every boy child to read as he gets older. It may help the male/female relationship crises we seem to have. I wish there were more quality Historical Fiction by women out there !! --- Philippa Gregory is top of my list!! Lynne The book that immediately popped into my mind was MARLEY & ME. This book follows the owner and Marley, the dog, through his entire life --- from puppyhood to old age and all of his antics in between! It makes you laugh and cry --- for every dog lover on your list! A must read for sure!! JaneAnn Railey-Clear just finished Robyn Carr's first of the Grace Valley Trilogy that has been reprinted and cant wait to start next one. I can't imagine a woman who wouldn't love the stories Robyn can tell I finish and pass them on and wait for her to write more! THE HERETIC'S DAUGHTER by Kathleen Kent Jo from Staten Island THE BOOK OF MYCHAL: The Surprising Life and Heroic Death of Father Mychal Judge by Michael Daly. This is a biography of the beloved chaplain of the Fire Department of New York who was killed at the World Trade Center on 9/11. He was an amazing man and an amazing priest. Michael Daly is a terrific author. This book also gives much insight into the world of firefighters.
