Other than that, I'm dying to meet Brenda Novak. She is an awesome woman! Joy Martineau John Grisham --- He has not written a book that I can't put down. He also has exposed many wrongs in our society: health insurance, Oklahoma law enforcement (ADA), and jury tampering. Then, as I think about this question, I am not sure if I would want to meet her in person; what if she is not as I have envisioned? I would be so disappointed! Their books are interesting, exciting and suspenseful, with characters ranging from realistic to peculiar. Mary Sophie Kinsella, I'd be there with bells on. Lynne Perednia Haruki Murakami would be worth sitting up all night to meet; his books are fanciful, sweet and a lot of fun. Lynne Wilson I would line up to meet Margaret Mitchell, since GONE WITH THE WIND is one of my favorite books. Alas, since I can't do that, I would pick Jeanette Walls, who wrote THE GLASS CASTLE. Wow, what a family background she had, and yet she endured! Deborah Sue Grafton --- I've met her twice before, once at a signing and once for a lunch. She's always witty, real, and gives even more life to her characters in person. For other mystery authors, I'll wait for a copy of their new books. But I always pre-order hers.
