Matt Hilton is the Cumbrian author of the Joe Hunter thriller series, including DEAD MAN'S DUST, JUDGEMENT AND WRATH, SLASH AND BURN, and CUT AND RUN, with further books in the series coming soon. He is a high ranking martial artist and has been a police officer and private security specialist, all of which lend an authenticity to the action scenes in his books.

Matt has been writing since childhood, and enjoys reading crime, thriller, horror and adventure books. He is a decent artist as well, and once had the honour of having one of his oil paintings shoplifted. Matt also enjoys a mix of musical tastes, but all of them old. Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and Dean Martin can be found in his CD player as often as Elvis Presley, Eddie Cochran and Little Richard. Don't let him near a microphone at a karaoke night!
