Biography

Louie Giglio

Louie Giglio was your average college freshman at Georgia State University in 1977, that is until one night, at 2AM, when he decided to devote his life to following Christ, not the college party life. He was inspired to be one of first people to design a modern style of worship that is geared specifically toward young adults, with casual attire, expressive worship, and low-key, visually driven sermons.

Louie went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and he and his wife, Shelley, started Choice Ministries, which is a bible study at Baylor University now attended by over 10% of the student body. When he moved back home to Atlanta, GA due to his father’s failing health, he began a national gathering of Christian college students called Passion Conferences and he started 7:22, a bible study aimed at single adults in the area. 7:22 now boasts around 3,000 singles who come to worship and learn about the Bible.

In addition to all this, Giglio began a record company, Sixsteps Records, which signed and produced various Christian worship artists, such as David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Charlie Hall. He is also the author of many books, including THE AIR I BREATHE, I AM NOT BUT I KNOW I AM, WIRED: FOR A LIFE OF WORSHIP and LOST IN WONDER.

He and his wife reside just outside of Atlanta and attend North Point Community Church.
