Biography

Eddie Campbell

Eddie Campbell is best known for his collaboration with Alan Moore on the epic graphic novel FROM HELL. He's also known for creating the irreverent and wine-soaked series Bacchus, which revives the Greek gods in a sprawling, unpredictable, and enormously entertaining thousand-page epic; and the award-winning autobiographical series Alec, which has earned him the reputation as one of the great raconteurs in the medium of comics. His other collaborations include The Birth Caul and Snakes & Ladders (also with Alan Moore), two moving and personal poems adapted into the comics form, The Playwright(with Daren White), a dark comedy about the sex life of a celibate middle-aged man. Married and a father of three, Eddie writes and draws from his home in a quiet suburb of Queensland, Australia.

Money makes the world go round, as they say... but HOW, exactly? In a world where drawing corporate superheroes requires literally transforming oneself into a corporation (which is kept in a shoebox under the bed), we are in strange territory, indeed. Fortunately, Campbell's wry eye and vivid full-color artwork imbue the proceedings with real humanity, making THE LOVELY HORRIBLE STUFF an investment that's worth every penny.
